Severe noise disturbance and structural vibrations. While the property may have other features, the quality of stay was fundamentally compromised by a significant structural noise issue. A heavy steel security gate is attached directly to the wall of the Primary bedroom. Throughout the day and night the gate is in constant use. Each time it is accessed the heavy latch mechanism is engaged, and the gate slam shut sending high decibel noise and intense, physical vibrations directly through the bedroom wall. The impact is substantial enough to be felt in one’s chest and mimics the sensation of a firecracker or a physical jolt. This made Sleep nearly impossible, as the disturbance was both sudden and repetitive. Because the gate serves a main thoroughfare, there is no quiet period during the early morning or late night hours. Due to the lack of soundproofing and structural transmission of the vibrations, I cannot recommend this listing to anyone who values rest or a quiet environment. They say it’s peaceful in description -they are lying. As soon as we brought this to hosts attention, they stopped replying to our messages.
