The household accommodations were true to form. The pool photos and gym are over exaggerated. When I went to use the sauna a property staff member told me the property does not allow renters. Then, my key fob for access was shutdown. I was no longer able to is the amenities. It took a full day before the host got me a new fob. By that time I was checking out. It was quite disappointing. When I asked for some reconciliation, the host ignored my asks.

The location was perfect. Quiet, serene, calm, right on the water so you can take morning and night walks right on the water. There is a hotel cafe and hotel restaurant within a 10 minute walk from the apartment. The only negative was the broken balcony screen door. You would think for the price you pay that the screen would work to enjoy the outdoor air without risk of getting bugs coming in, not that there are any, but aesthetics counts when you pay what you're paying for. Also I wish the shower head and bathroom sink had more water pressure power. And the dishwasher doesn't seem to clean very well. I think there needs to be some capital upgrades that would make this space itself more enjoyable. Also the sheets didn't smell 'laundry fresh' as it should have. It smelled like someone had already slept in it and they didn't bother to wash it, or maybe not enough detergent was used when they washed it? There was no body hair on the sheets so that's a good sign that it wasn't dirty or anything. Other than that, the check in and checkout process was easy and seamless and communication was easy with the owner.

Great Stay!

Perfect Marina Del Rey location. Lots of restaurant/coffee options within walking distance. Host was fantastic and apartment was clean with all needed amenities. Would definitely stay again!

I had mixed feelings about this place. It had a very good location, quite and safe. The pool and rooftop lounge were very nice. Water temperature was even warmer than advertised. The condo was getting tired. Bathroom sink faucet had very low water pressure. The bed had faux wood planking around it. I can’t count how many times I stubbed my toes on that. Luckily none broken. Poor bedside lighting. Only one nightstand. Similarly in the living room, there were no end tables so no place to set your coffee or drink. Killed one good sized bug in the bathroom. Thankfully just the one. I didn’t tell my wife about that. The hallway had a putrid smell in it. Some lesser smell in the unit itself. The manager Liv should have been a writer or poet. She would write the nicest notes about everything but except for at the very end, provided little on follow through. While I did request smaller bed pillows, she did arrange for extra pillow sheets. Everything essential in the kitchen was provided. So I would say that the basics were covered.

Kind of a mixed bag for me. While I liked the area which was quiet and walkable, the apartment lacked some basic amenities, absolutely reeked of marijuana when we arrived (even though the policy says no smoking), and is far smaller than the 1100 square feet listed. It is more like 760 square feet. Communication was good and they answered all my questions. Parking spot underground was very handy.

Dried bloody bedding and dirty apartment.

When entering this rental, we were met with a very strong marijuana smell and the patio door wide open to air out the place. I immediately contacted Jad and Liv regarding this issue. There was only one towel at first sight, as I found the rest in the dryer. There was no wifi info in the directions emailed to me or in the rental. I had to call Jad to get it. After 3ish hours getting settled in the room, I pulled the sheets down to get into bed and noticed multiple spots of blood on the bedding. I immediately contacted Jad and Liv regarding this issue – with no response from either until the next day. Liv said Jad was my main contact, but he only answered my phone calls no texts, so that was not convenient. I was so disgusted that I called VRBO customer support to file a complaint, email photos and video of the disgust. After further investigation, there was dried blood on one of the kitchen cabinets, the stove had dried food on it, and there was some kind of dried liquid on the bathroom wall by the door. There was long curly hair on the couches that are visibly dirty, and the carpet is just as gross – both need to be cleaned or replaced. We were supposed to stay there for 3 days, 2 nights and checked out within 13 hours. So gross, I couldn’t stay there any longer. This was my first reservation using VBRO, and last, completely disappointed and grossed out.

Marina Del Rey apartment

The apartment was very quiet & cozy! The bed was extremely comfortable which Led to very good quality sleep! The dining room table was a little wobbly so made it a little difficult to eat or work on it. The shower was probably our biggest issue since the water pressure was very low; that was the only problem with this apartment but asides from the shower, everything else was good!

Great Place

The property was just as described and a little better! The rooms were large and kitchen was awesome. Perfect location, was able to walk most places. The ONLY downside were the directions to enter the building and parking was far from elevator, which made the first few minutes frustrating but after that.... awesome, more than I expected.
