Great experience onboard the Queen Mary

We went for a music festival and the hotel was very close to the festival grounds. Location is good. We had great service as soon as we walked up to the ship. They immediately helped with our bags and front desk was friendly and helpful with questions I had. We made reservations at the restaurant Chelsea onboard the ship. The food was good. The bar on the same floor as the front desk had very nice and welcoming bartender that evening. The room was as to be expected on an old ship and was clean. The bed was very comfortable. The pillows and sheets were soft. It was quite cozy. I would definitely stay again.

Enjoyed touring and staying on historic vessel. Although, as we prepared for bed, an announcement, ‘your deck has detected a fire, please exit’. Apparently, all decks had the same announcement.

Great historic stay

It was a great stay overall. it was out of this world experience to be able to stay at a iconic historic place like this. Everything you need is at the Queen Mary. great place to get coffe, restaurants, the bar was amazing and the drinks. Also the availability of having tours or self-guided tours. it is definitely a full day of exploring with family and friends. The room was very spacious I stayed at the family State room. my son enjoyed having his own little private area with his bed and was decently cleaned. I would just make sure that they clean underneath the beds before new guests arrive. There was some trash underneath the beds and tissues that were not cleaned out from the previous occupants. But overall great experience to have with my kids.

Beautiful charm, mattress could be newer.

I’ve always wanted to stay on The Queen Mary, and I genuinely appreciated the incredible historical aspect of the ship. Walking the halls felt like stepping back in time, and I completely understand that not everything will (or should) be updated—that’s part of the charm. That said, our suite had a few issues that detracted from the experience. The sofa was completely collapsed in the middle, making it unusable for sitting comfortably, and the mattress felt very old and worn—it really needs replacing for a better night’s sleep. The mini fridge leaked onto the carpet, which wasn’t ideal either. On the plus side, I loved that the suite had two separate bathrooms—a rare and very convenient feature. However, I can’t imagine staying here during a hotter time of year. With no central AC, only fans were provided (and we definitely used them), but the room would be unbearable in real heat. Overall, I still appreciate the historic value of The Queen Mary and the unique experience of staying aboard, but a few key updates (especially the sofa and mattress) would go a long way in making the stay more comfortable without taking away from the ship’s charm.

The property is unique, first the staff was amazing they were very helpful and kind. Easy access to food in the queen Mary and outside as well. The issue I had was with the bathroom. This may be due to the age of the ship but the water pressure was non existent and there was a leak from the toilet each time it flushed. Overall it was a great experience and I enjoyed my time there the bartender at the observation bar was great 😃

No ghosts to be seen

Checked it off my bucket list. It was great to tour the ship and see all the things it had to offer. There was a fire scare that sent everyone off the ship and the FD came. All turned out ok.
