Penny wise and pound foolish

The property was clean -- which is a must - but there was a shocking lack of basic items one expects at a rental at this price. Only small bars of soap and one day's worth of toilet paper, and one garbage bag for a 4 bedroom house. We needed to buy dish soap, dishwasher soap, laundry detergent, garbage bags, shampoo, etc. All of which is doable, but meant an afternoon at Aldi rather than the beach. Also, the pool had a heater, but the agency did not turn it on, or let us know it could be turned on. The hot water went out twice, but was promptly fixed.
Stayed 5 nights in May 2024
