Waited at the desk for over 10 mins before being acknowledged. The smell of cat urine in the air. Hole in bathroom by the shower. The sheets looked cleaned but definitely not the other bed covers. Went and purchased Lysol and wet wipes and cleaned the room. Tried finding something different nothing available. Slept 4 hours and left.

Hotel was overbooked and we were left with no options. Front desk clerk was not helpful and rude. There were signs that "no refunds would be given", hotel refused to give us our money back. We had to open a case with hotels.com to initiate a refund. Hotel even tried to lie and claimed we did not show up for our reservation. Will never stay there again.

House was very easy to locate. It was in the middle of town and close to many places to eat. House has a very good view of the sunrise. Since it snowed during our stay, we very much appreciated the use of the garage. House was decorated for the holiday which was very thoughtful and nice.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. It was very hot and humid outside, but the AC and ceiling fans kept up well. The host answered questions quickly. We had rain (and lots of it) every day but our last, but had a good time anyway; making use of the game room, large dining areas for other games, and the pond for fishing and kayaking between storms. The kitchen was well equipped and bedding and towels were very nice.
