Lovely hotel with brilliant helpful staff and a lovely library/bar/restaurant. Easy to walk everywhere in around 15-30 mins. The communal areas were very nice, but we found the areas with the rooms to be quite basic.
Our room wasn’t the cleanest and there were even a couple of rose petals in random places in the room from last guest which was a bit odd. You can also hear a lot of noise from people in hallway from room and we were woken up by a big group of people opposite playing music and going in and out of room numerous times. But overall we still had a nice time!
Location: Perfectly situated near Gran Vía, the Royal Palace, the Prado Museum, San Miguel Market, and more — all within easy walking distance.
Customer Service: Outstanding service from start to finish. Every detail, from the thoughtful touches in the room to attraction bookings through the concierge, made for a wonderful experience.
Rooms: Cozy, with comfortable beds and immaculate cleanliness.
Overall: Highly recommend — we would definitely stay here again!
Centrally located and situated outside a metro station. Very walkable to the main sites in the city. The hotel is modern, stylish and clean, arty in design. The room had all the mod cons, clean and new, slightly on the smaller side. All staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming. We only dined in the restaurant for breakfast which had everything you needed for the day ahead, although we felt there could have been more of a selection given the amount of space in the breakfast room which you would expect from this type of hotel (eg no baked beans, no salads etc). The gym had basic yet new equipment to keep moving during our break . We didn't use the spa/pool during our time, however it looked clean and inviting which we would have used had we stayed longer. We travelled as a couple. Would recommend.
Convenient location to main attractions, train station, restaurants. Clean and spacious room. Very friendly and helpful staff. Full sumptuous buffet breakfast. a lot of common space to lounge such as spacious library, cinema, pool, gym
The hotel is located within walking distance to the city centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The hotel itself has great decor, and really comfortable beds.
But, the aircon wasn't operational due to the season, although it was 25 degrees C! Further, the rooms have paper thin walls and you can hear everything outside the rooms - disappointed for a 4 star hotel
The room was a little small for the price - we were “upgraded” to a room for people with disabilities because the original room was too dark, at a surcharge. I hated the motion activated sink.
Staff was great across the board- front office, bellman, concierge and dining room- everyone went out of their way to make my stay above average- and they succeeded! The physical property is the perfect blend of old and modern. Beautiful dining room and bar, generous and delicious breakfast; pool and sauna! I’d stay again when visiting Madrid. The location has good access to everything, really a short walk to way more interesting areas. It felt safe enough.
This was my second stay at Casa de las Artes and where possible, I will use it when visiting my son and daughter-in-law in Madrid. The building is beautifully historic, the bedrooms are comfortable and clean with quirky details and the staff are all lovely. The food is excellent as well!
Really lovely hotel - communal areas are very pretty. I had a room in the back part of the hotel which was very quiet and very modern. Pool could do with being warmer.
Great hotel and very unique. The location is very convenient and the facilities are very good. Mache restaurant and bar has a really nice atmosphere and the staff is very friendly. We will definitely go back!
