This was a hostel type place but with private rooms and bathrooms. I stayed with my elderly mother and my brother and it was safe and convenient to get to sites around town by foot and an easy walk to the train station for our train to Barcelona. We were able to store all our bags and enjoyed the free breakfast! Great place!!

We were a bit worried to book space in a "hostel" as a couple in our fifties plus our adult son. But it was very hard to find a hotel for the night near the Atocha train station, so we took a chance and were pleasantly surprised. Kind of seemed like a luxury dorm room...clean and comfortable with a king size bed plus two overhead beds. Quality linens and towels, but no amenities like a hair dryer. Nice to meet other travelers from around the world. The price seemed high for what it was, but I guess it was a supply and demand situation.

Lovely hotel. Very clean and maintained. Breakfast, payment and continental. Hotel close to metro and train station. Hotel has bars, restaurants and Tap pas bars all in walking distance. Great hotel for business trip or leisure.

Great room, but would have preferred not handicapp

Very clean, spacious, but we were in the handicapped room and it was difficult to shower with the chair in the middle of the shower, permanent fixture. There were no chairs in the room. Just bed and one small night table. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Good towels. Not a lot of space for personal items in the bathroom

Excellent location, warm welcome, friendly staff, super café. Only downside was that the room (a three-sleeper) didn't have a TV, fridge or safe. However, it did have a bathroom and a shower as well as a balcony (and was spacious).

Location was perfect, room was very nicely updated and clean. Staff were a little cross and challenged us when we were just asking for toilet paper or cups for the room or when we walked past them with our key to get into the hallway where are room was.

Loved the room but getting to hotel when the front door was blocked by a private party was difficult. No arrows on the sign that said go to a different address But very nice staff. The waiting area had stained chairs and couches.

I was worried because it is listed as a Hotel/Hostel. It was great, i rented a room with a bath, very reasonable. Loved that it was within walking distance of great museums. Very memorable trip to Madrid.
