The room is very old. The kitchen is in very poor condition. The walls are moldy. The shutter cords are wet. The toilet is very old. The bathtub is terrible. There is absolutely no internet. At first, they gave us a Wi-Fi network that didn’t exist. Then they told us about another one, but that didn’t work either. We couldn’t use the internet at all during our stay. Overall, the price–performance ratio is very poor. I was not satisfied at all. It was the worst place I have ever stayed. The location of the building is good. Breakfast is served in a separate place on Gran Vía (a bit far), and that part was very good. The staff working at breakfast were very good.

Very tiny bathroom, air con very old, noisy and kot efficient. Not sound proof at all. You could hear all the noise from outside, very frustrating. The communication from the host was not too good.

Great location, lived the room but we had lots of issues, first with check in, it took us over an hour trying to check-in then the codes were a problem pretty much every day, staff was helpful and nice but it was very inconvenient. They need to make check-in and easier process as we were not the only ones with the same issue, there was at least three other people with the same issue while we were there

Kitchen was fine but the "1 bedroom" apt is basically just a studio. No living room, just a bedroom with a TV and a tiny kitchen. No sofa, no living area. The entire place is super noisy, hardwood floors combined with paper thin walls so if the apt next to you is occupied, it will feel like you're in the same room with them

We loved our stay at Smartr Madrid Chueca. The location was easy to find and central/walkable to everything we wanted to see. The area is very lively in the afternoon and quiet, but not unsafe late at night. The staff was kind and quick to respond to any questions via WhatsApp. The place was clean and comfortable. We would book it again happily!

This property is very conveniently close to Puerta del Sol. There is no outside noise at night. It is clean. The problem appears to be poor management. The phone number is provided but it is never answered. They should make it clear that all communication will be by WhatsApp. They should make it clear that an entry code will be provided on the day of checkin. Handle of washer broken, no plug for kitchen sink, walls very thin so any noise from adjacent apartments is noticeable.

Careful with the pictures vs expectations

Had a delay on check in and also the room shown is deceitful you can book a room with balcony pictures and get an interior room without realizing. Otherwise a nice place for a night

The unit we stayed in was absolutely horrible, the couch ( where actually some of us were supposed to sleep on) looked like 1000 people threw up on, wiped their feet and it was never cleaned. Only the kitchen cabinets looked somewhat like the pictures, nothing else - really wish there is an option to attach a picture. As a reference, we stayed in unit 5c. It is referenced as the apartment having AC, but the temperature can’t really be changed. Also, it’s only partially cooled. If I was not traveling with kids and had the strength to argue right there and then- I would not have stayed. If there is a scale for hospitality services offered- this one should rank negatively, like minus 5 out of 10. My advice- stay away!!! As of the area- close to the city center, but like with most large cities- be careful! Lots of pickpocketers, drunks, etc. No smoking property??? Really? We were smelling smoke every time in the unit.
