Borgo delle Dimore is characterized by suites with star-vaulted ceilings, spaces carved from honey-colored Lecce stone, by large fireplaces, and underground granaries once used for storing grain. The entrances to the current suites overlook the external “courtyard” where it is possible to spend moments of serenity and pleasure.
Like every Apulian residence, in the past, the current suites were homes and in each of them there was a fireplace to warm up and cook food; while the "courtyard" was a common meeting place where people spent their days working and helping each other.
