Xanadu Makadi Bay has the worst management I have ever experienced. After a 15-hour flight with two children, the reception and manager were completely disrespectful and unprofessional. They demanded an extra $450 even though my reservation was correct and my children’s ages were entered properly. When I asked for help contacting Expedia to confirm the booking, they refused and left me to handle everything on my own. Instead of showing hospitality, they caused stress and humiliation at the very start of our vacation. This hotel’s management clearly does not care about guests, fairness, or basic respect. I would never return and strongly advise others to avoid this property

The animation team was fantastic—super friendly, engaged, and amazing dancers! The overall staff was also extremely nice and helpful. However, there were a lot of Russian guests, which influenced the atmosphere a bit. The food was okay, not outstanding. The themed à la carte restaurants were better than the main buffet and a nice change, though the online reservation system was quite complicated. Evening shows were fine—nothing special, but entertaining enough. The beach was decent, but the coral reefs for snorkeling were too far from the hotel. The shuttle service worked well. The resort is much more expensive than other 5-star options in Hurghada, but you do get a better experience in return. One big plus: the all-inclusive package includes imported alcoholic drinks, not just local ones.

Hotel was fine. The Airport Delivery Service provided by the Hotel was awful. Based on the priving level in Egypt it was very expensive (USD45 /30 km). The driver asked for our flight number to determine the correct terminal. However, he dropped us off at the wrong terminal. As both terminals are not directly next to each other and no one could say if or if not a free shuttle is avaylable, we got another cab at the airport. This is very bad service, in particular for the price.

Einfach perfekt. Super sauber, sehr leckere Speisen, tolle Pool Landschaft, sehr ruhige Ecken und auch Action Ecken vorhanden, sehr sehr sehr freundliches Personal in ALLEN Bereichen. Von Gärtner bis Kellner, Barkeeper, Rezeptionist....alle super freundlich.
