The room air condition so noisy until had to sleep without air cond. SO UNCOMFORTABLE. The room fixture was so run down and some it going to falling apart. This Hotel dont deserve a 3 star hotel status. I think is only 1 star hotel, and the rate i would get a better one from those small hotel.

Rooms dirty, bathrooms leaking water from bath, basin. Carpets filthy. No internet connection unless I sit in dirty hallway. My friend could not even get connection anywhere. I had to ask for towels, toilet tissue, bins not emptied!!! Never again will I go to this hotel, it has deteriorated so much since my last visit

Look elsewhere folks!!!

The Good: Excellent location. Jonker street and many local attractions are accessible by walking. No problem in getting grubs no matter the time of day as there are plenty of mamak and hawkers stalls which are open throughout the night. The Bad: Room and facilities are in dire need of refurbishment. No toothbrush nor toothpaste. Airconditioning is through a centralized unit and is quite noisy. Bathroom is extremely small and cramped. Room had a weird musty smell. The Ugly: THE BATHROOM DOOR COULD NOT BE CLOSED ! The door was bigger than the door opening! THE BATH TUB STOPPER WAS BROKEN AND THERE WAS NO WAY TO SEAL THE BATH TUB.

Decent Budget Option

It was a business trip and with the price that I paid for, Hotel Orkid got the job done. Sure, the condition of the hotel was not the greatest and the cleanliness could be greatly improved (carpet was dirty, coffee cups and towels had stains) but the front desk was helpful, the air-conditioning was super and the wifi was stable. The hotel is 10 mins walk from Jonker street and 5 to 10 mins taxi ride from Meleka Sentral (bus station). There are various food options around the neighborhood. Various convenient stores are also nearby. Breakfast is okay as well. All in all, it depends on what you are paying for. Sure, there are better options out there but if you are on a budget, this might be an option worth considering.

No gd. Will not come again. After staff make up the room, didn't provide toilet papers. Ask for mineral water also difficult. Hot water flask is very dirty.
