The hamlet of Chabannes is part of the municipality of Malbosc, at 525 m altitude, in the Ardèche Cévennes, at the heart of the Monts d’Ardèche Regional Nature Park. This preserved place offers peace, relaxation, fresh air, and tranquillity.



Located 2 km from Malbosc for small shops and restaurants, 13 km (about 20 minutes) from Bessèges for major shopping, 25 km from Les Vans, a tourist town renowned for its crafts and typical markets on Saturday mornings and Tuesday evenings from July.



40 km away (about 60 minutes) are the Ardèche gorges with the famous Pont d’Arc and Chauvet cave.



A bit further: Alès, the Duchy of Uzès, the Prafrance bamboo garden in Anduze with its little steam train, and the Mediterranean about 90 km away.



Hiking and mountain bike enthusiasts will enjoy the many trails. The house is a former farmhouse, the highest in the hamlet, which consists of about ten Cévennes houses.
