About this property
Sunset View Centennial Farm
Step back in time at Sunset View Centennial Farm, a historic Northern Michigan farmhouse that has been in the family since 1899. Located at 6210 S. M-66 in Mancelona, this one-of-a-kind property sits on a scenic ridge overlooking the Cedar River Valley, with views toward Schuss Mountain and the surrounding countryside.
Originally part of a 120-acre working farm, nearly 100 acres of the original land remain in the family today. The property was identified as “Sunset View” on the 1917 Platt map — a name that still perfectly captures the peaceful beauty and wide-open skies you’ll experience here.
A Property Rooted in History & Nature
The headwaters of the Cedar River begin right on the land, and walking trails wind through woods, open fields, and along the river’s edge. These paths follow the original cattle routes and historic logging trails used by our ancestors more than a century ago. A bridge built by the great-great-grandfather still spans the river where cattle once crossed to pasture.
Today, those same trails offer peaceful nature walks, wildlife viewing, family exploration, and space for kids to roam and imagine.

Sunset View Centennial Farm is perfectly positioned for year-round adventure.
