Standard ibis hotel so you know what you are getting when you book.
Pluses - quick check in, decent room , comfy bed , decent size tv in the room and plenty of hanging space
Negatives- the hotel is near the gay village which the bars are open late, I could hear the noise from people outside at like 3/4am there is also either a train or tram track next to the hotel which traiffic kept waking me up.
I might have just got unlucky with my room being on this side of the building
Stayed here for Manchester Marathon. Got to the room to find the toilet seat broken. Reported it and was told it would be fixed within an hour. Didn’t get fixed at all. Room was boiling hot so stuck the air con on down to 5deg. Air con unit pumped warm air out! Opened a window and the street noise from the locals was horrific. Had people shouting and screaming until the early hours of the morning. General condition of the the room and bathroom was shabby and in desperate need of some general repairs. Not what I expected for £150 a night.
They need to do a better job with housekeeping , I kept seeing hairs that probably belonged to the last person that used the room, stains on the blanket , even the light switches had grime on them.
The man at the desk was not the most polite and sounded very unhappy to be there. The windows were hard to close and this made the traffic at night noisier than it should have been.
The room was clean and everything in it was very helpful, but we could hear anyone on the corridor and every emergency service vehicle that passed.
Everything was fine apart from the fact that neither the aircon in the room nor the TV worked. It was 11.30pm by the time we got back to the room in the evening so was too late to go get anything sorted but was a very warm uncomfortable night. TV didn’t switch on either and there were wires hanging from behind the TV that were unsightly. But for £85 it was clean and convenient so can’t complain overall.
Hotel staffs were amazing and friendly.
However, the room was not pretty clean. I found someone's chocolate left on the floor and the towels had dirty marks. Also, the room hadn't box-tissue that was not helpful for people have hay fever like me.
Nice centrally located hotel. Clean room, comfy bed, good shower.

Disliked: Cleanliness, room comfort
The process of checking in was very long winded even though I had already checked in virtually ahead of time. Bed was super uncomfortable and bed sheets werent clean, toilet seat was also mucky.
The hotel is in excellent location which is close to shopping facilities and the docks. The front desk staff were helpful. The room was clean and tidfy.
