The staff is fabulous and you couldn’t have a more convenient location. The rooms are sufficient and clean for the most part but rather spartan.

Both receptionists, Clarissa and Nicole, were exceptionally helpful. Other than this, I struggle to find anything positive about this hotel for the following reasons: The bathroom was far too small and grubby. Placing the new toilet roll on top of the toilet brush is not anyone’s idea of standard sanitation. The toiletries provided included shower gel and body lotion but no shampoo. The shower pressure was not stable and the wall mounted hairdryer did not feel safe to use. The bathroom sink was blocked. Both girls doubled as receptionist and waiting staff at breakfast, likely to lead to logistic issues and delays if you have an early train to catch needing to check out at breakfast time. The hotel details on Expedia indicated a room safe was available but it turned out that none of the rooms had electronic safe. Unfortunately, there was no safe deposit box in reception either. A discussion with the owner based on what we had booed on Expedia and what we were getting, wasted a good half hour.It was disappointing to be told by the owner that she was not responsible for what was stated on Expedia and that given our expectations perhaps we should have considered staying elsewhere. This did not give me a perception of the owner being service oriented and further discussions would have been fruitless. Overall, and despite the two young ladies’ efforts, I would not stay here again and the price of 126 euro per night was not justified for what the hotel is offering.

A Charming Hotel in the Heart of Historic Manuta

The Hotel Broletto is a charming hotel in the heart of Mantua, only steps away from the historic sites and museums. The staff is very friendly and helpful, including calling me when my train delayed my arrival. They serve a very nice breakfast with homemade muffins and cakes, which were all tasty. My room was very spacious and comfortable.

Great stay in the center of a historic city

We had the large, I think, "family" room with a king-sized bed and a small couch, which was probably a sleep sofa. All was clean and attractive though a little short on amenities -- not enough toilet paper, no tissues, just 3 tea bags, etc. Location was perfect - right in the center of town. Breakfast was really good and plentiful. Personnel were friendly and helpful.

Charming Hotel in a charming City

One of the nicest hotels ever. Excellent location in the heart of the medieval city. Reception and staff are superb. The room was charming and provided every facility and toiletry possible. The breakfast room and food were exquisite. I shall definitely stay again, for longer.

Excellent hotel in heart of the city

This is a lovely hotel which is very comfortable in a beautiful and interesting city. Staff were very helpful, rooms comfortable and an excellent Italian breakfast. A proper Italian experience

Central and clean

Hotel very Centra located but the noise on the busy street starts with 11pm trash pick up and 5am street cleaning vehicles and 6am construction work. Result little sleep.

Very nice hotel in the very center of the city

We enjoyed staying at this hotel at the very end of August 2016. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Gave us excellent suggestions for eating places.The location was perfect, close to Palazzo Ducale and all major attractions. Our room was very clean and well maintained. Our only suggestions would be to add English language channels for TV. ( at least one!). However, Wi Fi worked very well, so overall that was not a problem. Highly recommend this hotel to other visitors.

Great location, helpful friendly staff

We stayed 3 nights and were very pleased with our choice. Staff were very helpful and courteous at all times. The location is perfect - right in the historic centre of Mantua about two minutes stroll from the Ducal Palace and very convenient for good bars and restaurants. Yet our room (3rd floor) was very quiet.

Very disappointed

My air conditioner barely blew out any cold air and another room was great a/c as an example. I had to open my windows and the street noise on a Friday night kept me up til 3 AM. Bed very hard. They refused to make any allowance for extremely poor blower on a/c.

Mantova -- shopping, history and food delight!!!

Stay here for the great location. Not much English spoken by the staff-- mostly young kids with little hospitality experience. And if you're looking for any area guide info in English forget it- bring a guide book with you. Charming town with many small streets to explore!
