The room was tired, needs updating. The shower had flies in it coming from the drain in the floor. I ordered a birthday cake a few days before travelling, the order was confirmed via email, never got the birthday cake. Also ordered room service, the order stayed on processing for hours. A few staff were extremely helpful and friendly (the lady who took our room number before breakfast, the spa ladies and one of the pool barman) we found the rest of the staff quite rude and abrupt. Also a constant awful stench when entering the lobby, apparently a drainage problem !! All in all I really do think this hard rock hotel in Marbella has had its day and needs a refurb, just living off its name at present, certainly not worth the money at present.

October stay - we were blessed with brilliant weather. Pool area was lovely - plenty sunbeds - water maybe a wee bit cold but refreshing! Food in all restaurants was nice and the staff were lovely. Cocktails expensive but v nice.

I would definitely stay again. Highly recommended. Parking easy and free. Breakfast buffet is good. We also ate the dinner buffet. 15 min walk to puerto Banús. 4 min in Taxi for 5 euros. The lobby is great. The room is nice with balcony. The staff are superb.

Loved this hotel. Great for a weeks break with 2 teenage kids. The staff were incredible. Clean throughout the hotel. Food was good. The only downside was the underpass walk way to the beach. Needs some cleaning up but probably not owned by the hotel itself.

Great property but the breakfast buffet needs improvement. From the poor quality coffee to the bacon it’s below what a property like this should offer. Beware of the insane drinks prices and buy from the bottle shop next door and enjoy pool side at a fraction of the price.

The hotel didn't give me the room i had reserved. The upgrade they offer is a standard room with pool view which isn't spectacular. Questionable people in the hallways and prostitutes all over even in the lobby at times. No secure elevators they didn't require a room key to get to your floor very unsecure. Bathroom vanity big enough for a toothbrush to lay on. The provided pump shower gel and shampoo didn't work. Called reception to request another room and that our room wasn't correct. Was told she would have whomever handled that would call back and never did. Also the so called casino was an absolute joke. Poker was 1 table not full and seemed strange. I would not recommend this hotel. There are better hotels situated in better locations than this one. Don't get it just for the price you get what you pay for and that's disappointment...dated, dungy and very small rooms. Thought i checked into a cheap cruise ship room. DON'T STAY HERE

The hotel was really nice, clean and smelt lovely. The rooms are small but comfy. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was check in was not great as we were not given towel cards, they had not put the correct bed as requested and no batteries for the tv remote. I had also requested for something special to be put in the room for a special birthday but they did not do anything which was a shame.

Recommended for friends stay

Clean spacious room (gold suite) friendly and efficient staff and good food selection for breakfast and dinner. Pools and bar areas were clean and staff attentive. Short walk to beach and town.
