Vacation apartment in an estate in Mariano del Friuli, a picturesque village in the hinterland of Friuli, known in Europe for its fine wines and good restaurants where you can taste the delicacies of regional cuisine. The complex has a beautiful communal garden with garden furniture where you can relax. The landlord offers Novasol guests some tastings of local wines along with cold cuts and cheeses of homemade production. There is also the possibility to visit the vineyards (prior agreement with the owners). The city is famous in the world for the production of IGP raw ham. It is possible to visit the ham production facilities with tastings. For sea lovers : Monfalcone (15 km) with its sandy beaches, Grado (26 km). For art lovers : Venice (130 km), Trieste (50 km), the regional capital that during the Austro-Hungarian Empire was the Central European living room where several writers such as James Joyce and the famous psychologist Sigmund Freud met.

Beautiful winery

Our check in was a bit confusing as poor girl did not seem to know we were coming and room was only set up for 3 people. But the young girl was extremely efficient and quickly set things right. We were told to make ourselves comfortable on the out door patio and grab a bottle of wine from winery and enjoy the peaceful evening. Apartment was small but had what we needed but maybe not the best choice for 4 adults as one room is two not so comfortable twin beds ( perfect for kids) but we knew this when we booked and felt location definitely made up for that!! And manager offered us a free wonderful breakfast which was not part of our package so we were absolutely delighted! Great little restaurant just across the street.

Ungeeignet für längeren AufenthaltGut: guter Standort für interessante Ausflüge, FeWo solide eingerichtet, hell, gutes Beleuchtungskonzept, gutes Bad, freundliche Gastgeberin, gute Trattoria im Dorf (Al Piave)Schlecht: sehr laut (direkt an der Straße, wenig Verkehr aber man hört jedes Auto laut und deutlich), kein WLAN in der FeWo (nur in der gemeinschaftlichen Lounge), kein privater Freisitz, schlecht ausgestattete Küche, Klimaanlage erst zwei Tage vor unserer Abreise (Anfang Juni) in Betrieb genommen, kein Bäcker oder Alimentari im Ort.
