The property is attached to a convenience store. We were checked in at the convenience store desk by a mechanic. The breakfast area was small and dirty. A guess you get what you pay for, I should have known that it is what we’d get when it was the last place available on short notice.

The rooms were good. Pretty clean. My only complaints was the mildew on the hot tub and the continental breakfast needs to improve. Very limited choices and they were out of some of those items during our stay.

Mold

There is mold all over in the hot tub room. It's around the outside of the tub, on the ceiling, and all over the metal vents and sprinklers. Everything else was fine and breakfast was good.

Convenient to Pictured Rocks. Across the street from Foggy’s, which turned out to be a very good restaurant. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again if/when we return to the area.

checked-in to an unkept room

I was given an unkept room on checkin. See the images attached. I checked in around 4 PM and that should have given them enough time to clean and arrange the room. On talking to reception, I was told 'no other room is available, so we will clean it now'. He did come and clean but that invaded our privacy. I wasn't even offered apology.

The included breakfast and location right off the highway was great. Beds were a little like a trampoline but after walking around the beaches and cliffs all weekend, any bed felt great.
