Don’t be put off by the building works — although unsightly on arrival, the noise was minimal and didn’t impact our stay at all. The hotel offers a great choice of pool areas with plenty of sunbeds, so there’s no need to get up early to reserve one. There’s also easy access to the sea for those who fancy a swim. On the downside, we arrived just before 12pm and were told check-in wasn’t until 3pm, which was fine. However, when 3pm came, we were repeatedly told it would be “just two more minutes,” and we didn’t actually receive our key until 3:20pm. It was clear the room had been prepared in a rush, as the dressing gowns and hairdryer were missing. The gowns were replaced quickly, but the hairdryer turned into more of an ordeal — housekeeping even suggested I hadn’t looked properly, which was frustrating. Thankfully, a visit to concierge resolved the issue, and a special mention goes to Brian, who was fantastic. The on-site restaurants — Don Royale (Italian) and Henry Beans (American-style burgers, ribs, steaks, etc.) — offered a great selection of food. Don Royale is very popular, so I’d recommend booking in advance. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I’ve had in a hotel, with an excellent variety and high-quality food. Despite a few minor issues, I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful views and wonderful service, but rooms need updating We enjoyed our stay overall, though a few things were surprising. The hotel itself is beautiful — spotless public areas, stunning views, multiple pools, and a peaceful private beach area. The staff were exceptional from start to finish: friendly, attentive, and accommodating (even allowing early check-in after an overnight flight). Our room, while large, clean, and featuring a comfortable bed with a breathtaking balcony view, felt dated and in need of refurbishment. The décor and furnishings were worn, the bathroom grout was badly discolored, and there were few outlets and no USB ports. Oddly, there was a second bed instead of a small table and chairs, and no coffee maker — just a kettle for instant coffee. The spa and massage were fantastic, breakfast was plentiful, and the servers were kind and responsive. Afternoon tea, however, was served in drawers of a small nightstand rather than a traditional tray — an experiment I couldn’t quite embrace! Despite these quirks, the staff, cleanliness, and location made our stay pleasant. With some room updates, this could easily be a five-star experience again.

I really enjoyed my stay here! The room was clean, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The balcony view was amazing, and the fresh sea air was just perfect. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choices for everyone. Overall, such a great experience — I’d definitely love to come back!

The staff were lovely and service was mostly good (although room service was extremely slow). Room was very clean and comfortable but the decor and finish was quite dated. Good choice of bars, restaurants and outdoor spaces, although pools and terrace access was restricted on occasion for private events, which seems unfair to paying guests. It didn’t affect us as we went out, but may be inconvenient for those looking to stay at the resort to relax.

The staff at the hotel were great and welcoming. The condition of the hotel was jaded and in need of a full refit. I think it must have been last updated in the 1990's, finding plug sockets is challenging. The issue we had was with the huge construction site surrounding most of the hotel. If you want to lie in the sun being serenaded by angle grinders and drills then this is the perfect hotel. The drive/walk to the hotel is an adventure, dodging concrete trucks and lorries. We did complain about this to the hotel management and they could not care less. This construction is likely to be on going for many more months.
