Very close to The Old Port, with many restaurants and patios. Thursday night the locals dancing in the opera yard out front was nice (ending at 23:15 hrs). The next nights there was loud commotion most of the night…not so nice.
Also, climbing 53 steps on the spiral staircase with our large suitcases was not ideal.

The owners are great and welcoming people, that made the stay so much nicer. The hotel is standard for what you expect in this tier.
Stay was okay but not what I expected. Room was small, very basic, noisy, and a bit run down. Advertised as a hotel but actually a guesthouse, which felt misleading. Surrounding area was lovely and the host was great, but overall I expected better.
Excellent location minutes from the port. Good for shirt stay but minuscule room with no a/c on top floor (no elevator, 3 flights of stairs) uncomfortable at night during hot season despite fan in room. TV was broken on arrival and couldn't be fixed until the end of our stay. Very kind and friendly proprietor, very good wifi, small but fully functional bathroom. Bed was rather small for 2. Good value overall because of location if you're on a tight budget but no more.
The first 2 days were OK, then I found 2 cockroaches in my room. Was told by the owner I must have brought them with me. I left. Not happy with hotel. Com as I am not getting a refund, got credit on the website but not interested. My holiday was ruined
The room was very nice, has a fridge. The bed was so comfortable. The only issue which we had was air-conditioning which didn't work as they had some technical issue at that time but they provide us with a fan. Staff very friendly and helpful and localisation is right in a center

Very noisy area the hotel is close to a night club so you hear people all the time rooms no a/c or proper fan
The hotel is really well located! Only 2 minutes far from the Vieux Port. The staff is also available to open the front door when came late at night (1am -there is no badge or code to enter the front door if it's locked).
The room was a nice and spacious enough for two people. The bed was great as well. The bathroom was small and narrow but it was not a problem for us. Overall, the room was clean, but I think the sealant in the bathroom needs to be redone.
For the price we paid for two person, it was worth it.
The hotel is not not ready to receive guests. Renovation is not complete. No air conditioning or even a fan. Expedia says "no elevator - single level property" The no elevator part is true. My room was on what Americans call the 5th floor! The bathroom sink wobbled. There was noise 24/7 between bars, people hanging out talking loudl , garbage trucks, etc. Since there is no a/c closing the window is not an option! Also, the hotel is located in a pedestrian zone with no cars. This should be disclosed in advance. In the middle of a heat wave I could not sleep for 2 days, could not get cool and did not feel well from the heat. I had to leave my large suitcases downstairs in reception. Dragging them up to the room was not possible. On the second night the guest below me smoked (and it wasn't tobacco!) and it came in my window. The wifi is weak and only allowed checking email. I opted to leave asap and not wait for checkout time. This was just about the worst hotel stay ever! I'm so sorry to have to write this but it is simply unfair. The information online is not correct.

Cheap, but be warned
The cautionary tale which warns of getting what you pay for applies here squarely. It was 38c outside and the room had no AC; we knew we were getting into a bargain accomodation, but we didn't expect that from a hospitality place in France (or any other place in the world). The noise outside is incredibly loud at any time of the day or night. The stairs to the third floor are narrow and if you are carrying large luggage, you are set for the climb of your life. On there hand, this is about the closer you could get to Marseille top attractions at this price range.
The staff was friendly but, there was no AC and they did not have fans for us to uses. We would start sweating the moment we entered the room and it was almost impossible to sleep. They said the ACs were broken because of a maintenance issue with remodeling , the main AC was still working.
We booked this for a one night visit to Marseille and the room was so bad that we ended up leaving at 9pm and not staying. Incredibly stuffy, tiny room with no air con or a fan. Outside the tiny window was another building so no breeze. Noisy neighbours. Booked a double bed and it was a large single, not a double. Would rather have stayed in our car. Owners recently changed and the new ones must be trying to save cost. This place looks like a good cheap option online, but don’t do it. Just pay a bit more for a proper room & bed somewhere else…literally anywhere else.
