Difficult to navigate for short stay

This is a good place if you plan on staying longer as it has a kitchen. For a short stay; it’s a bit cumbersome; since much of what is described does not work as it is: - the sign at the front desk said someone would be there from 10 to 6 - we checked many times; never was anyone there to try and pay the city tax - While there were many similar SSID‘s our network was nowhere to be found - quite a hassle of finding a phone number to call ( voicemail and full; request to reboot ,..) until we finally had a replacement - Laundry is not in the apartment as described - it requires a card which first has to somehow make it to you before use The place itself was comfortable and clean; but clearly more like a student dorm than a hotel The area is quite run down with graffiti everywhere…

Functional; not Fancy

Great communication! Things that could be better: no WiFi, no hairdryer, and the shower was teeny tiny and on a pedestal-making it dangerous to get in/out of if you’re physically challenged in any way. The place was clean, casual and a short walk to the shore.

It is a nice room with basics. It gets hot outside so be prepared for that, but there were fans and a breeze with open windows.

We walked approximately 20 minutes from the railway station down to the accomodation. This is in a slightly run down residential area. Facde of hotel is very french! Large french door! The check in staff were very helpful. We asked them for a good restaurant for Bouillabaise and they gave us good advice, You need to spend over £100 for a good Soup and book a good restaurant that they can suggest well in advance. Though the room had all the necessary facilities we did have difficulties. The oven was a bit difficult for us to use. But when we found out how to turn off the lock on it we got it to work. Slight lack cutlery could do with a sieve or other cooking utilities! This Hotel is good for its transport links.Shops and supermarkets are a two minute walk away on a main street with tram stops which can take you to the main spots in Marseille. Metro is 5 minutes away.

20 minute walk down from the railway station to this hotel in a residential street. Trams are five minute walk awayfrom the hotel leading to easy access to important Marseille Tourist spots! Accomodation adequate for what we needed! Supermarkets within 5 minutes easy to carry bags full of food back! Employees gave advice about where to get bouillabaise soup wish we had booked the place they suggested well ahead! As on the night we tried they were booked up!

No hot water

They don't speak English or Spanish. We had no hot water for our entire stay. The room is big and comfy but once you receive the room check there is hot water, if not you are on your own.

Nice rooms very near to the centre of the city

It was a very nice experience. Marseille is a wonderful place. They need to speak some more English for commercial purposes. Lot of interesting historical places as churches, museums, beautiful squares, nice gardens, clean beaches to swim in and enjoy the views of the sea. Nice sight seeings and panoramic views of the mountains, so close to the city. I liked most the churches and the fortifications. Transport communications are also very good. Security is also good and I felt quite secure. Activity in the vieux port is so wonderful. The church dedicated to Notre Dames de Garde is so exceptionally nice. mosiac works are so wonderful. I really felt the peaceful presence of Our Lady in our midst. The liturgical activities are perfectly organized especially the Holy Eucharist. This church is also a spiritual gift to all Christian denominations and also to different churches.Everyone can feel the presence of spirituality and peace.

Basic but clean.

Room was basic but clean. Shower on the small side with a wrap round curtain which I dislike. No aircon in room which was a problem as it was 30c outside. Location was fine and about 10 min walk of main shopping street and Marina.

Little Slice of Marsaille

Typical Marseille apartment in a good location . Very small but not overly cramped. Three beautiful windows overlooking a small back street, which would be quiet were it not for the incessant scooters . Free street parking, if patient, usually within two blocks. Only two dining chairs for sitting and a small TV. Good value for price.

Très correct pour le prix

Établissement bon rapport qualité prix. Logement basique, un peu vieillot mais avec clim, chauffage et double vitrage. Ça sentait un peu la cigarette imprégnée dans la chambre. Le 2ème lit n'était pas fait. Des draps nous ont été apportés. Il valait mieux ne pas regarder l'état du matelas et de l'alèze. Très bien situé, proche du centre ville avec un super resto indien à côté. Dans l'ensemble correct pour le prix.

Communication

The place was clean and well located in the city. However we chose this place to have a chance to clean our clothes but it was impossible. The employees were never there at the appointed time. And when we got hold of one she didn’t understand a single word in English. You had to buy a badge for 3 euro to clean your clothes but they did only have ONE badge for a whole residence. And we never got the chance to hold it. The boss who I called a few times never answered even though he sent a message that he was at the reception. Altogether it was a nice apartment but we didn’t get access to what the hotel promised. We don’t want to visit that place again.
