Sugar Creek Escape at Turkey Run

Beautiful home located in the heart of the best nature experiences Indiana has to offer! This home sits on 14 wooded acres a mile from Turkey Run and a ~100 yards from Sugar Creek & Cox Ford covered bridge which has a wonderful canoe/kayak pullout.

The Amish built home includes panoramic nature views and luxury accommodations such as high end kitchen appliances, full washer / dryer, 3 queen size beds plus a queen futon and extra cots for additional sleepers, master bath with jetted tub, billiards room, walk out basement, back deck and patio with fire pit. High speed internet available with streaming services. We also have board games, video games, DVD players, etc provided with the home.

A Turkey Run pass is included. Turkey Run has exceptional hiking, a large pool in summer and a great nature center. Shades State Park is a close 10 minute drive.

Sugar Creek is a phenomenal river great for kayaking, fishing and wildlife viewing. Several outfitters very close by offer different canoe/kayak/tubing trips (would recommend booking in advance.)

Rockville is a 10 minute drive and offers groceries and good dining. There are many other activities in the area we can suggest and of course the annual Covered Bridge festival.

If you have the chance you should stay at this property! I came with my 16 year old son and his buddy. Our stay was short so the game room was the hot spot for us when we weren’t outside exploring the property. Turkey run was so much fun. I will definitely try and come back for a little longer soon. As far as the host goes, Clint is top notch!! He contacted me shortly after booking and was attentive to any questions I had, and very quick to respond. Overall, everything was perfect with our stay!! When I booked I did not see that the pass to Turkey run was included. That was a fantastic bonus. The pictures of the house got me to want to stay, however seeing the house in person is even more beautiful! Thank you again Clint for being an awesome host!!!

We had a wonderful stay enhanced by lovely weather while spring flowers bloomed throughout our stay. The listing is accurate, the Host was gracious and had everything ready for our arrival with plenty of local information collected and placed in a binder. The house was well stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen, and there were all sorts of things in the home to keep us entertained. We loved the golf simulator game, the pool table, and the vinyl record collection. The property is less than a mile drive to the Turkey Run State Park. We hiked 3 different trails, had a great dinner each night in town, and had a very relaxing 3 night stay. I highly recommend this property and Host. 5 !

Wonderful place to have a reunion with family! The host was so responsive and was even able to let us check in early so my daughter could go down for her afternoon nap there after we arrived. So special to hike the same trails at Turkey Run with my daughter that I did when I was a kid. The place itself has everything you could want and is pretty kid friendly. Just a note that you should bring some gallon jugs of drinking water along. The kitchen is well stocked and we cooked each night we were there and enjoyed a cozy fire in the fire pit. Thank you for opening your beautiful home! We will definitely be returning!

Beautiful and clean home. Lots of things to do without even leaving the home (pool table, golf arcade game, board games, etc.). Multiple outdoor spaces for family to gather (deck and a fire pit). Lots to do nearby. Kayaking on Sugar Creek, rent a pontoon at Racoon Lake (10 miles), hiking at turkey run. Restaurants nearby, ice cream at Sugar Creek restaurant across the street from entrance of road to house. Great Amish homemade pretzels short drive.

Comfortable, convenient and immersed in Nature

Our family had a great stay at this jewel of a house adjacent to Turkey Run State Park. It is beautifully updated and well furnished, with a nice grill, record collection for your enjoyment, comfortable beds, and even a fancy Japanese style bidet toilet! Communication with the owner was excellent. It just felt so welcoming and relaxing. The location can’t be beat, 2 minutes drive from Turkey Run entrance, and 5 minutes walk from a restaurant and ice cream shop and a nice covered bridge. Our only nitpick is that the WiFi service was not great, which was more of an issue because T-Mobile didn’t have service either. We would definitely return to this house!

The title really says it all. We five friends needed a place to hangout and play games. We had a blast, and I even won a couple hands of cards. The home was a perfect accommodation and the surrounding forest a wonderful setting. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer atmosphere.

The house is even more beautiful in person! Perfect location for visiting Turkey Run. The house was equipped with everything we needed. The pool table, albums, firepit and games kept us entertained in the evenings. Beautiful, spacious home. Very comfortable. Absolutely perfect!!

Nice house very close to State Park and Sugar Creek

Very spacious and nicely decorated house in the woods. No nearby neighbors. Easy walk to covered bridge over Sugar Creek where the takeout is for rafting. Limited internet and no cable or over the air tv, but lots of movies and games to play
