The nearest town with regular bus and train connections is Matlock (about 10 minutes away by car). From there, you can catch buses to Bakewell, Buxton, and other villages in the Peaks. Local buses also run through nearby villages, but services can be limited, especially in the evenings and on Sundays — be sure to check timetables in advance.

Wensley is surrounded by beautiful walking routes. You can easily access footpaths leading to Stanton Moor, Winster, and the Limestone Way. The village itself is quiet and very walkable, with scenic views in every direction.
