This beautiful forest and natural landscape (approx. 1000 km2) with numerous hiking and cycling trails is perfect for an active holiday!
The Mountain Bike Trail Centre Vienna is in the immediate vicinity, ideal for experienced mountain bikers! In Mauerbach and its surroundings, there are plenty of restaurants and bars, supermarkets and other shopping opportunities, such as the Auhof Center Vienna shopping centre.
In summer, the various outdoor pools in the region offer plenty of swimming fun! Relax at the Therme Wien Oberlaa in Vienna with its many pools, spacious sauna paradise and separate children's area or enjoy the Römertherme in Baden with thermal baths, saunas and steam baths. Both are just 30-45 minutes away by car.
In winter, the Wienerwald shows its quiet, romantic side. After a winter walk through the quiet, snow-covered forests, enjoy the cosy atmosphere of the typical 'Heuriger' and various restaurants in the region.
