We absolutely loved our stay at Riu Emerald Bay. Riu always maintains a high standard for their properties and this was true to that standard. Staff were always super friendly and helpful whenever needed. Whatever requests my wife and I had they were able to accommodate. The 5 pools were great and was always able to find two good chairs by the pool. The nightly shows were great, performers clearly had practiced the shows a lot and was very impressive with the amount of choreography. Bartenders were all super friendly and were characters and were funny. The drink/cocktail selection was expansive and impressive for an all inclusive. Food overall was super tasty and even in the buffets was cooked properly and not overdone.

Always same food served. No liquor I usually drink. No non alcohol beer for my husband only specific bars and they don’t go get it!!! We told them we r here 9 days can u bring some here? They say no I even spoke with manager he said same thing. My husband has heart probs and can’t walk far??? Unbelievable service at this Tiu

The staff are all very hard working and friendly! Service was wonderful! Pool service staff (Louis), very attentive and would even bring fancy drinks that he thought we would like, as a thoughtful gesture. Rafael in the Tres Isla buffet was also exceptional, he was even teaching me some Spanish by the end! Restaurants are a hybrid of buffet and a la cart. Nothing exceptional, good food though. Buffet was definitely suffcient. No trouble getting sun chairs....always plenty as they have hundreds both at the 3 pools and on the beach. Elevators were frustrating as they took a while to come, passing right by your floor. Not a deal breaker. Entertainment was good, especially the 2 rock bands! Live music, no lip syncing! " The Stones" and "Kannon". Incredible! Would definitely go back!

Our 3rd visit tothe RIU Emerald Bay. Beautiful location for people that want a little of everything. Pools all had dufferent temperatures to suite all. Beach is expansive, a fantastic walk. We always found the buffets differed slightly, so food dudnot get boring. Overall very relaxing vacation.

The staff is amazing. The resort is super clean and very well kept. The rooms are a little dated but not terrible because you rarely are in there anyways. The food was fine. Im a picky eater so its tough. But i always managed to find something. But the staff really makes this place what it is. RAMON and PEDRO are amazing in the dining areas. FRANCESCO at the pool bar is the best!!! And Jose on the RiuFun team was amazing! They truly made the trip what it was and makes us want to go back!

I had an overall amazing experience at the RIU. The staff were always kind, helpful and went the extra mile to ensure everything was taken care of for us. The property was clean and well taken care of. The food was overall quite good with lots of variety. The odd time I chose meat that was overcooked and dry. I like to work out and the gym had a few machines that were not working and needed maintenance. This is something that could be improved upon.

Like: pools, many food choices, entertainment staff Dislike: The loud Band on the beach every day! Too many lounge chairs squeezed in (for the number of hotel guests) made them difficult to use. We prefer a shower only, not the awkward tub/shower in the room. The Towel Folding is cute, but not necessary.

When we arrived i was with my family members, my mother in law had a hard time walking so we asked if we could be put on main floor close to the pool and the check in lady made it all happen. What a great place... The only thing i did not care for is that they dont have a computer to check in for flight's when its time to go home. Thats the only problem. Thank you for a wounderful vacation....

We have a wonderful time there all the people who worked there were very nice and helpful I love the food ,It was quiet and clean the only thing I didn’t like it was that we cannot get a reservation for the special restaurants and it was far away from that downtown still, it was wonderful to stay there . I’ll be back and I will recommend it
