We accidentally ended up in West Memphis, AR, not west Memphis, TN. We found out that was a bit of good luck as Memphis is one of the most dangerous cities in the country. The hotel was nice, clean and child-free so quieter than it might have been. Desk help were friendly, other staff didn't seem to be held to very high standards.

Overall, a nice stay at the Southern casino & Hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and the shower—yes, amazing! Not every staff member was friendly, but the bar lady in the smoking area had great energy. I wish I had gotten her name—she truly made the experience better. The food was delicious, and the drinks were definitely fye! Would recommend.

I was turned away for bringing my infant son. I filtered my stay based on the fact of him being under one and it still was a viable option for selection. I also was charged an incidental fee of $324 for two rooms which was greater than the total cost for booking each room. I was profiled and disrespected as well as searched multiple times for simply walking out to get my luggage from my vehicle that was directly in front of the door. My wife was denied access to the restroom and my mother was treated poorly by the same doorman. I did not stay and was told I couldn’t get a refund for my stay at all so I was charged over $500 for a place I never got to see even the room. Will never stay again, I will also make sure those of military and Masonic organizations of those that I know will never spend money here again. Terrible service and profiling as soon as we walked through the door. I never gave them any hint of me being a threat, I didn’t present rude body language nor speech. I was courteous to the staff and I do my best to give a happy demeanor at all times so I know I didn’t give anyone a facial expression that was misleading nor provocative. I’ve done everything possible to make a positive impression and yet was humiliated after driving multiple hours from New Orleans Louisiana.

Comfortable bed and quiet room. They have security at doors checking for drugs or weapons so it seemed safe. And you need room card to work elevator so random people can't just go up to rooms.

The rooms are huge. The staff is friendly. There’s a lot of security to get in but that means I’m protected. The food is good there’s a casino downstairs and a clean pool. Gotta be 21+ to get in so there’s that. It’s a great atmosphere. Loved it!! 😍
