The property would have been great only if they picked up our luggage from the bus port. It is high up in the mountain, very difficult to drag your luggage. Not enough warning provided as to how difficult it would be to take your baggage. No taxi, no pick up, I saw other guests who almost cried, dragging their luggage up to the hotel often on narrow oncoming traffic.

Disliked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities
The listing for Menaggio Suites is blatantly inaccurate. It says it is an 8 min walk to the beach-it took more than double that for our driver to DRIVE up the incredibly steep hill. It also indicates Menaggio street food is a one minute walk-untrue. We were unable to stay there as we did not have a rental car and taxis are limited and difficult to procure. The listing agent, My Home in Italy, refused a refund and still refuses my multiple requests for contact info for their management. Expedia will not help-buyer beware!!! There are much better options close to town and the ferry at a lower price and I recommend booking directly with the owners.

Really nice place, great view. Massive hill to climb. No Ubers, and near impossible to get a taxi. We couldn’t get one until day 3. Unless you rent a car don’t book this place. Getting to and from town and the ferry with luggage is a nightmare without a car. Walking on your own is ok, but takes time and you need to be in shape.
