We were not given the room we had booked! A panoramic room with 2 beds, even though it was empty, but beside the dreadful room we were given!! Additionally,we found ants in our bathroom, and the hotel was unwilling to provide another room that was empty, and in reality was the room we had booked!! The hotel gave us a 10% discount, which was inadequate!! The staff was pleasant and the breakfast was good.

Merida gem !

Carlos is a great host, always looking you are having a great stay. Room was nice with an interior patio on the bathroom and a hammock next to the bed. Nice interior and exterior design. Lidia made us breakfast with great taste. I would have use the pool but too cold for me.

Delightful

Our stay at Casona Origen was perfect for us. The room was big and airy and always stayed cool. The whole establishment has been renovated to a very high standard but without destroying the historic and cultural elements that are integral to it. The host Carlos was extremely helpful and always readily at hand through WhatsApp to deal with any concerns or questions. The staff were fabulous, they keep the place spotless and cooked a lovely breakfast each morning. They were very accommodating, friendly and cheerful. The outside area, pool, patios etc is beautiful, full of lush trees and plants and very peaceful. It was so nice to lay in the pool and listen to the birds chirping in the trees.

What a wonderful experience! Our flight was delayed coming in and Carlos waited up for us until almost 2:00am. And that was just the tip of the iceberg… He made great recommendations for things to do and see, and where to eat. He was there to help at every turn-even arranging a car to pick us up at the airport. The staff was friendly. The property is beautiful and private and just lovely. Not one but two pools. Beds are comfortable everything about it made for a terrific terrific stay. We’ll be back!

I like how the pictures are true to the actual place. Loved that it was spacious, clean and really easy to get to. When we didn’t like is the breakfast , but that’s just us. This could improve adding some eggs, waffles or something similar other than a meat bread. Communication with the property felt really easy and clear.

We loved the design. Our little casita was ground floor and seemed like our own little cabana. The grounds were absolutely stunning. The landscaping, the pools, the sundecks, all the different trees were spectacular. We really enjoyed having all that space around the pool to lounge and relax.
