This 3 bedroom home is great for a family getaway with 2 x Queen bedrooms, and a third bedroom with twin singles. Enjoy the firepit on the outdoor patio out the back, or a coffee in the morning sun out the front.

A short 4 minute walk to the lake, and 7 minute walk to the village.

Village Retreat is perfect for a family (or a couple), with 3 bedrooms sleeping 6 people. Cosy in winter with the the log fire, and fun in summer to walk to the lake and take part in all the fun that lake side water sports bring.
Two bedrooms have a queen bed each, and twin singles in a third. All bedrooms have a ceiling fan, full length mirror, and timber bench to sit and chat, or to place luggage on.
The lounge, dining and central living area is furnished in mid-century modern style that is in keeping with the cottage. The television in the lounge is a 65 inch big screen smart TV, so you can connect to all your media and on-demand accounts. There are two split systems with heating and cooling to keep the house comfortable. The central living area is ideal to have a quiet coffee, or a space for the kids to play.
The house has all the tech you need - NBN internet, so if you need to work from home for a day, or connect your devices - the internet is reliable and easy. Smart Home Hub to play your music through, ask questions, or just tell the time! Digital lock to access the front door with a code that unique to you for your stay.
The outdoor area has a firepit and plenty of seating, with outdoor games such as croquet, and ring toss. Sit and have a coffee in the morning and watch the birds flit about the garden, or light the firepit at night for a cosy night in.
The front verandah catches morning and afternoon sun, so you can sit out there and watch the (very quiet) world go by.
The dining table seats 8 people with comfortable chairs and a bench seat for little ones. The kitchen is delightfully vintage with all the modern appliances such as Delonghi coffee pod machine, Russell Hobbs microwave, Sunbeam toaster and kettle, Philips sparkling water maker and new dishwasher.
The compact bathroom has a small bath for the kiddos, and a shower with a large rain-shower head as well as a hand-held spray head. The water pressure is amazing and great after a day out on the water!
The toilet is separate to the bathroom.
The laundry is kitted out with a washer and dryer if the need arises.
Dogs are welcome and are the responsibility of the owner at all times, are not allowed on beds or furniture and must sleep in the laundry.
Once you pull into the driveway you can just leave the car there for your whole visit and walk everywhere you need - Metung Hotel, The Local Metung pizza shop, Aroma cafe, Effloresce Cafe, Seven Sundays gift shop, Metung Pharmacy, The Village Store, or my favourite bakery in Victoria, the Metung Bakery. Or just walk to the lake to go fishing - don’t forget your fishing license!
We provide tennis racquets if you want to hire the Metung tennis courts, and we also have garden games such as quoits, bocce balls, and croquet to play on the back lawn whilst you relax on the patio.
The Metung Hot Springs has now opened - you can walk there around the lake - about a 15 minute walk, or drive and park there. Well worth a trip.
If you do want to go for a drive, there’s so much to see and explore - local towns such as Lakes Entrance, Bruthen, Buchan and Paynesville. There are national parks, bike trails, art galleries, and don’t forget Buchan Caves and local wineries!
