Todo el hotel OK, elegimos Mondrian por ser de calidad pero nos quedó a deber… nuestro baño se inundó y apestaba a alcantarilla, hablamos para quejarnos pero eran casi las 12 de la noche, estábamos cansados y nos dormimos, sin embargo en la mañana nos despertó el olor y nos salimos antes de lo que hubiéramos querido, me pesa mucho porque no es un hotel barato y fue una escapada de un día. Definitivamente nos afectó totalmente la experiencia de nuestro viaje

We stayed for four nights at the Mondrian. We found the staff friendly and happy to help. The buffet breakfast included was good, but it is the same every day so if you want variety you will be disappointed. The Rooftop Sky Lounge was not open the entire time we were there, which was disappointing as it was a selling feature for us. The rooms are tight but well appointed and the beds comfortable. There was street noise and you could hear people moving in the hall, etc. Something to be mindful of if you are super sensitive to noises. The bathroom was a stall toilet and shower and open sink. I personally prefer a proper door so this was also disappointing for me.

The hotel has been recently renovated and the rooms are a reasonably high quality but the service is incredibly patchy here. We booked a Skyline View room but had no view. Just a wall and the interior courtyard. We asked reception and we were told this was not a description of the room just a classification. The Mondrian website describes this type of room as ‘having unforgettable views of the Mexico City skyline’. When we showed this to the man on the check-in desk, he became incredibly rude and combative. Eventually, we were introduced to the Guest Experience Manager Jany/Honey, who was incredibly helpful. Throughout our stay, she went above and beyond to make our stay as good as possible. She was amazing. The rest of the staff and service left a lot to be desired. The breakfast is pretty terrible. Don’t book a skyline view and if Jany/Honey isn’t working then avoid.

The property is run down and definitely not a luxury space. It is loud. They play music in the courtyard loudly late into the night. The vinyl flooring in the room is cheap looking/feeling. There were 8 hangers in the closet for 2 people to spend 8 nights. Clearly they are not properly anticipating the needs of their guests. No luggage rack to set luggage on while unpacking. Weeds growing in the balcony planters. Missing door trim on patio doors. A lot of light comes in around the curtains and under the door at night. The bed was comfortable, but headboard had seen better days. The art over the bed is peeling off the wall. Vinyl flooring in bathroom is loose. There was a large blank wall across from the sofa with just an outlet in the middle about 4 feet from the ground. It felt like an unfinished space. Minibar was never fully stocked with items on the list. There was no handsoap for bathroom sinks. Hand lotion was not replaced as needed. Bathroom scale did not work. Shower valve needed repair or replacement. It was either too hot or too cold. Bathroom sink and shower drains were slow and in need of repair. These are things the housekeeping staff should notice and report for repair. One bathroom sink had a decorative cover over drain and the other did not. The sinks made loud noises for about 20 minutes after using them, meaning they cannot be used immediately before bed. We do not recommend it and would not return. We feel like we should get money back.

I had a fantastic experience staying at The Mondrian! The location was perfect—easy to walk to nearby attractions or take a quick Uber ride to anywhere we wanted to go. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, always ready to help with anything we needed. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we could ask for. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay!
