The lobby and entry area are too small for the size of the property and things can be pretty hectic at check in. Expect a long wait for your car if you valet. It's a beautiful property but it seems like the staff struggles to keep up with its size.

No early check in allowed, they offer late check out but when we asked they said no. The plumbing in the room would rattle everytime we used the hot water. At one point a hotel staff member came to our room at almost midnight accusing us of drilling. I was using the shower… tv wouldn’t turn off leaving a glare on all night. There was also a noice that sounded like tapping on the walls.

William gave us VIP service from the moment we entered The Elser, taking extra care to detail the amenities and walk us to the elevator. Beautiful room, gorgeous views of the water, and a fabulous gym (the woman maintaining the gym was very helpful). Definitely coming back.

The Elsor is a very modern boutique hotel offering many amenities. The pool water was cold, unfortunately - but very clean and beautiful. The hot tub was fantastic-but the area around it could be spruced up a bit better and offer table service there. The elevators were a trip (most "modern" system ever, and a bit off-putting at first, until you get used to the system. I asked at least 5 times for a room with two beds - and they kept trying to sell me two separate rooms. When I arrived, the sofa bed was not made up. Waited until 11:30pm for the staff to bring sheets & bedding and didn't put the boards in the bed-so NOT a comfortable sleep. Also, when I pulled out the bed to be made up, there were hairs, crumbs, etc. - the bed was not clean.

I absolutely love this hotel but the housekeeping was terrible! I had to call multiple times to have my room cleaned and when they did finally come, it still wasn't cleaned properly. When I asked for fresh towels, they'd bring me 1 towel knowing well that it was two of us staying there. I'd specifically ask for 2 sets of all three sizes of towels and still receive 1 towel. It was quite frustrating. Additionally, my dryer didn't get hot work when trying to do my laundry and the tv's quality was really bad when playing dark movies or tv scenes. I absolutely loved everything else about this hotel.

The duvet in my room had a large food stain and was missing its cover. I called the concierge multiple times to request a clean one, but no one came for two hours. At 11:00 PM, I ended up carrying the dirty duvet down to the front desk myself. Only then did someone finally bring a clean one to the room. I attempted to file a complaint with the front desk manager, unfortunately he asked me to speak with a specific housekeeping manager. When I asked to escalate the issue, I was given the name of another manager I was supposedly able to speak with the next morning before my departure. Of course, when I went to the front desk the following morning, I was told the manager was “in a meeting”. This experience fell far below the standards of a reputable hotel, both in terms of cleanliness and responsiveness to guest concerns.(one staff member from the front desk did try his best to help though) In my view, this establishment operates more like a collection of apartments managed by a third-party contractor than a true hotel.
