Rooms are very nice. However, the particular room I was in is outdated and needs some renovation. The walls had huge unmatched patches. The glass door was dirty. I would still stay hear at THE ELSER. It’s a gorgeous property.

Pros: Beautiful hotel. Clean. Great location, right across from Bayfront Park (though parking is minimal & expensive) and the Miami Heat stadium. Amenities, such as gym, pool & free yoga classes. Cons: Poor customer service. The entire front desk staff truly need a training in customer service. To pay all the money, you expect at least to be spoken to with some dignity. I've received & given better customer service for free. From the beginning the staff looked irritated & 1 red haired woman was rather snotty waiting on me. Many people in the lobby may've been overwhelming for the staff, but it's not what you say but how you say it. The tone in which 1 says things can make even bad news more palatable. But red hair and mostly all of the staff did not even attempt to politely or kindly explain things to customers. They were rather frank and as if you were irritating them for asking questions or being annoyed at the wait. They could learn from Chik FilA. Also, good customer service goes above & beyond to accommodate when reasonable & possible. I attempted to redeem my free drink and was told only an alcoholic beverage was an option. I asked if I could receive a substitute (which couldve been a free bottled water or even some juice with ice, which is still cheaper than the alcoholic drink). This simple request couldn't be accommodated and no effort was made to. Staff again was rather snotty and just repeated himself to me that was all there was. Could've been 5 stars otherwise.

The room quality was amazing, but the small things you'd expect of a hotel of this caliber were missing: It was hard and unintuitive to get on the WiFi; neither of the remote controls in the room worked; and one of the two TVs wasn't even connected.

Everything on the pool level was great, the service, the staff, pool and food. As for the rooms I didn't know this hotel was part of an apartment block, it took me back to my student days. The apartment is so loud with people around if you want a peaceful night sleep I would not recommend level 17.
