Don't expect too much.

This is a place you get a bed to sleep and breakfast, but don't expect anything great. Everything is very basic and the hotel needs a face uplift. At least during this stay it was totally over-priced (about 200 euro).

Worst Scandic experience

Room was separated from another room with only a door so that all voices could be clarely heard. Service at the front desk was very unpleasant.

Room on the smaller side with in-room sauna

The hotel is located in the center of Lappeenranta, about 19 miles from the Russian border. The hotel is more on the basic site and the accommodations are quite small. There is a sauna in the shower room; also quite tiny. However, it is very quiet and provides the basics. Good for a one-night on business.

Good Location - right in the centre of everything

Original room air-conditioning not working properly. Hotel changed rooms without delay and new room was sufficiently cool. Good Location - close to lake, and shopping precinct

Convenient hotel close to sights

we were touring Finland starting in Helsinki driving to Lapland and then returning over a ten day period. The hotels on offer were generally average. This hotel, one of two in the Scandic chain in this town was a step above most of the others we encountered. Friendly, helpful staff, convenient underground car park, clean and good sized, comfortable rooms and a good dining room serving an excellent buffet breakfast and a value for money dinner. The location was excellent and the town definitely worth a visit.

Central hotel in historic surroundings

This is hotel adjacent to the Swedish Earth-Works fortress built in 1649 and the 1741 battlefield between Sweden and Russia 4000 casualties, won by Russian Empire. The battle was fought over tactical positions on the border. Finland belonged to Sweden at that time.
