The staff is very accommodating. The location is NOT GOOD for walking to the Duomo square or other tourist attractions in the city. Cabs are required.

The feont desk team members were so helpful. They were attentive and congenial. The hotel is not as close to the tourist attractions, which does require a car or cab because walking would be long. It would be helpful if the hotel staff would provide written instructions on how to SUCCESSFULLY USE the Metro a system to travel.

Not the worst but could easily be better.

The gym was not available for use which was a let down and it was much harder to find then first thought. Over all it wasn't the worst but it could have been better.

Serviceable for Solo Travelers

General Summary Whether your comfortable here depends on what you want out of a hotel. Rex Milano is basic, really basic. From the bare bones breakfast offerings of croissants, cereal and coffee to the rooms sparse furnishings and small LCD TV. If your plans for the hotel extend beyond sleep and showers then I would look elsewhere. However if, like me, your traveling solo and just looking for somewhere simple to collapse at the end of the day the place is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. Overall Rex Milano is serviceable. A Few Specifics Wifi is a paid additional extra. 6 euros buys you 2 days but the connection is god awful and only works half the time and then at a snails pace. Tip for the hotel - Move over to a dual band 2.4Ghz / 5Ghz setup, there are no devices operating at 5Ghz in the area and 2.4 is overflowing. You've also got all your access points on 11 along with many other APs in the area, the cross talk is causing mass dropping of packets which in turn makes the wi fi unusable. Wifi is important to people these days get someone who knows what they are doing to redo your setup. I can't say I was comfortable in the area past 8-9 o'clock. Good pizza place just 2 minutes walk away. Come out the hotel to the main road take a left and it is opposite the set of traffic lights. They speak english. You can come an go via the Corvetto metro stop. 5-10 minutes walk away, with connections to both Centrale and Doumo. Shower head was broken.

Disappointing

I was moving to Milan for university and needed a place to stay for a while until I could find an apartment. I chose the hotel mostly because it was one of the few hotels with an elevator in the city and I had recently injured my shoulder and was supposed to avoid lifting more than 20 pounds and I had a heavy suitcase with me. I thought the hotel was very overpriced. The front desk staff are a bit awkward and unhelpful, they charge 5 euro per device for internet but the connection is so terrible that half the time it is unusable, and the location is not near to the metro so it is a long bus ride to the center. When I got to the room it was decent enough cleanliness-wise. However, the maid forgot to clean my room one day and the day after that I was asked by the front desk to "not leave my computer on the bed" because she cannot change the bedding if there is anything on the bed. Apparently that also meant not changing the towels or emptying the trash for the second day in a row. For the price, I found the service and amenities to be very lacking. There seem to be a lot of better-located hotels with better pricing and value in the city. If you don't need the elevator I would certainly avoid this place.

Hotel in posizione strategica per arrivarvi in auto senza problemi di blocchi o ztl e poi muoversi tranquillamente per la città con i mezzi pubblici. Struttura un po’ datata ma ben conservata e pulita.
