We had a wonderful 3-night stay in Milan and the location honestly could not have worked out better. It was incredibly convenient for exploring the city — easy walks to the castle, the Duomo, museums, shopping, and countless restaurants. We spent most of our time on foot because there was always something interesting nearby.One thing that ended up being especially helpful: there are several luggage storage options very close to the apartment. If your arrival or departure times do not perfectly line up with check-in/check-out, that makes things dramatically easier. Small detail, huge stress reducer when traveling through Italy with bags that somehow weigh 40 pounds.The neighborhood also had an endless number of walkable restaurants, cafés, and spots to grab drinks. And one place deserves a specific shoutout: VERO - Gelateria Cremeria. Easily some of the best gelato we had during our trip. Highly recommend stopping there at least once… though realistically you’ll probably go back multiple times “just to compare flavors for scientific purposes.”
