Visit the coastal town of SArchittu on the west coast, which owes its name to a natural arch made of the limestone typical of this area. In the summer months, the arch is artificially lit up after sunset, a marvellous sight. This place is ideal for those who want to spend their holiday doing sports (canoeing, windsurfing, hiking trails in nature reserves). Alternatively, there are interesting excursions all year round, for example along the ancient bandit path (sentiero dei banditi) or in the dense Mediterranean scrub forest of Monti Ferru (1050 metres above sea level), 15 km away. The reddish Sa Mesa Longa a Putzu Idu beach is 20 kilometres away: its rock formations offer wonderful views and protect the beach from the wind.
