Very cosy warm room, comfy bed, very clean room and bathroom. Breakfast great,the chef went that extra bit by cooking fried eggs every morning as soon as I walked into the restaurant, very much appreciated. Good selection of food and served hot. Room facilities could be better.the mattress was too small for the base. Very limited items on the drinks tray ie: only 2 bags of English breakfast tea, only 2 sachets of white sugar, etc. as staying as a couple, drinks become rationed. Once relaxed in room, don’t always feel like walking downstairs to reception to ask for more. Towels in bathroom also limited. One large bath towel, 2 smaller ones but too small to wrap around head when hair has been washed and one of these had to be used as a floor mat. Shame as everything else was perfect.

Very clean rooms, friendly service, prompt costumer service, smiles on the faces everytime, just what you would expect from a hotel, also, black out curtains, comfy bed, carpeted hallways, free TV service always a plus.

Clean, polite, professional staff and hotel

Was working in Milton Keynes and booked the Mercure for one night as a fast ball. On arrival was impressed with the reception area. It was bery inviting. Went to book on and the receptionist (Ann-Marie) was lovely and polite. Got my key card and went to my room. The room was clean, fresh and airy. Went down for food and opted to eat in the bar area rather than the restaurant just for ease. Food was superb and very well priced. Retired after eating. The bed was comfy and had a good night sleep. The next morning was so impressed with everything and all the staff I had encountered booked another night. Spoke to Lee at reception and explained I had booked another night and he asked if I wanted the same room to which my quick reply was yes. Stayed a second night and ate in the restaurant. Again the food was excellent. I will definitely be staying again whenever I am in within 20miles of Milton Keynes. It is well worth doing the extra distance to get such service on all fronts.

Consistently good, friendly and approachable staff, modern facilities. Clean, tidy and spacious and despite being in Milton Keynes this is so much more than value for money! Lovely hotel, great staff, will be back again for certain!

Good stay but unsatisfactory level of safe cooking

The room was clean and bed comfortable. Sadly our lunch wasn’t so good. We were served raw chicken in the chicken filet burger. The hotel were apologetic and brought us another, cooked chicken burger.

The general ambience of the hotel is very calm and pleasant. But it lacks attention to detail. Replenishment of the coffee was a bit lax. Decaf coffee pods replaced by normal and i’m not allowed to drink caffeine! The bed springs were sticking through and the hotel needs a refurbishment. The restaurant is okay fo breakfast but not for an evening meal. My big gripe is that management couldn’t be bothered to acknowledge my concerns It’s convenient and staff try hard but …

Perfectly average

It was perfectly average. It didnt feel dirty in an unclean kind of way, just very tired and a bit run down. The side of the bed had clearly had something spilt down it at some point and hadnt been washed properly, there was some flecks of black mould round the window frames and some stains/marks on the cushion covers. I dudnt pay full price for my privilege room but if i had, I'd have been really disappointed with it - it definitely isn't worth the advertised price.

Great value, large room with a great view

Stayed here following a funeral wake. The room was excellent, large room with a huge bed, overlooking the golf course. The staff were all pleasant and helpful, although they were very understaffed for the number of people present. At lunchtime in particular, just one person waiting on tables and running the bar and coffees. We had bar food at lunchtime and again in the evening. The food was all well presented and very tasty. Overall excellent and very good value for money.
