Check in was okay. Reception had very strong chlorine fumes. Clerk was friendly. The rooms and the people hanging around the property was questionable. The room was dirty. Trash on floor, sheets missing from bed, no linen to shower, no toilet tissue, toilet had feces in it and wouldnt flush. When we asked for new rooms, they werent much better. The room next to that one had its front window busted out and had plastic crammed into the hole. We left and found another hotel

The outside yard was dirty trash, grass needed cutting. Staff rude and slow. Talking on personal cell phone not waiting on customers! Pool was closed and green...looked like a swamp!!! No internet as advertised.

First time not checking reviews when booking and the room was exactly like the other reviews mentioned. When we walked the bed covers were stained, probably didn’t changed them. The smoke alarm keep making noise, my husband try to fixed it as we checked in somewhat late and we just wanted to sleep, we were there just for a night as we were just passing by, but the alarm did not had a battery. Then when we try to use the toilet, someone had through a cigarette in the toilet and to make it worst the toilet was not flushing. Then we decided to go to request another room, the lady at the counter was really nice but was a bit relented to give us a new room, she did send the handy man, he fixed the smoked alarm but could not get the toilet working then he finally got the front lady to give us a new room, which the room was not clean and after we use the toilet, you could here the water running but we were over the whole ordeal. We sleep between the sheet and the comforter, not that they were clean but made us a bit more comfortable. I was able to check out in the website. I guess the best part of my stay was the front lady and the handyman, really friendly and apologetic about the situation. Will not recommend and definitely will never come back.

The beds were soft and seemed new. We only got 4 pillows for 3 people. There was no soap in the room. Breakfast was just sad. The milk and juice had been sitting out so long that it was room temp.

Housekeeping busted in my room 10 am im naked in bed.. no cups no coffee no breakfast. Housekeeping Housekeeping cleared my room but refused to give deposit back. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone..never stay there agai .

I dint like talking about anyplace like this but it was the worst 1st room no lights in bathroom or wash area. Phone not even connected. 2nd room attemp, one light worked in bathroom. Phone didnt work. Really looked like a drug flop house. Low lighting, run down entrance doors. No telling what was in or on the beds.

Do NOT stay here. It isn’t worth it.

No towels or toilet paper in the room. Weird chemical cleaning smell like chlorine. Looked like someone had blew their nose in the tub, dead bugs on the bed. In the morning absolutely horrible breakfast all they had was yogurt, room temp milk and oatmeal packets. This was at 7am. The pool was green.

Very run down! Ceiling light fixture gone, wires hanging. Bedside wall light hanging off the wall, doesn't work. Lighted mirror was so dim you could hardly see. Just very run down! Inside and out! Employees were excellent.

So dirty couldn’t even sleep on the bed. There were no blankets on the bed and it looked like the room hadn’t been cleaned. The outside out the room smelled like pee. There were women’s underwear all over the steps to get to the 3rd floor. Couldn’t be accommodated appropriately )in my 80’s with a walker), was sent to the 3rd floor with no elevator access. Horrible front desk customer service. Horrible experience overall.

Surprise!

The LaQuinta is in the center of downtown three blocks out of the French Quarter. The rooms are lovely, however there are a few surprises. 1. Parking is not free. 2. There is a $150 deposit for damages. The good news is you don't break anything you get it back. The staff I have encountered are the nucest and most helpful individuals. The room is nice it lacks one thing, the ability to provide heat. AC is in abundance and COLD!!!.

Photos don’t match what you really get!!!!

The photos of the property on your website makes this hotel look nice and comfortable. When you get there it’s sitting behind an abandoned building. The hotel looks very outdated and not somewhere I would ever book to stay. Since this was last minute I had no choice. Even the lady checking me in was very nice and said this is probably not what you’re looking for. The carpet in the room was old and the couch was dirty. I did not feel comfortable staying there so ended up leaving.
