PRIVATE VILLA WITH STUNNING SEA VIEWS, HEATED POOL, 5 MINS WALK TO THE BEACH 🌊
A fabulous, private villa that sits with the Cabrera mountains behind and the beach and Mediterranean sea to the front. Whether you are looking for a great place for a family holiday, or a more romantic retreat by the sea, this villa provides both. Listen to the sounds of the sea; although in a quiet, private and peaceful location, the villa is just a few minutes walk to the beach, restaurants, bars and shops making it one of the best holiday locations in the whole of Mojacar Playa. The pool is heated out of season thus making it useable all year round (in our effort to help save the planet, solar panels have been installed on the roof to assist with the electricity being used by the pool heater and air conditioning units).
The villa is fully air conditioned throughout - providing cool air in the heat of the summer and warm air in cooler months. Three of the four bright and airy bedrooms are on the first floor and have patio doors leading straight out on to the balcony with those stunning sea views. Sit with a cup of tea or coffee in the quiet of the morning on the balcony outside your bedroom and take in the beautiful views of the Mojacar coastline, beaches, palm trees and pines while watching the sun rising over the sea - what a start to the day! The master bedroom also has a brand new ensuite shower room. The second bedroom has a king size bed and the third bedroom has twin beds. A family bathroom with bath and shower is also on the first floor. The fourth bedroom has twin beds and is on the ground floor with a shower room next to.
The villa is light, stylish and contemporary whilst still retaining a traditional Spanish ‘feel’ with tiled and terracotta floors throughout. There is a large and very comfortable corner sofa in the sitting room with a new smart TV plus a Philips music system with CD and USB, Spotify connect and digital sound control. A modern fireplace is appreciated on a winter's evening when the sun has gone down! There is an impressive sweeping marble staircase which leads from the dining area to the first floor - the villa is beautifully furnished and has many lovely original art works. The kitchen has granite worktops, is fully integrated and equipped with hob, oven, Ninja air fryer, microwave, fridge, freezer and includes filtered drinking water on tap plus a DeLonghi Nescafé Dolce Gusto coffee maker. There is a separate laundry room.
Outside there is a bbq and a large dining area with a large table and seating for up to eight over looking the sea. There is also an outdoor table tennis table and sofa, chairs and coffee table - enjoy an early breakfast whilst watching the sun rise over the sea in the morning - or sit relaxing with a glass of wine watching the moon sparkle over the ocean in the evening. There are plenty of sunbeds around the swimming pool and the pool area is gated and therefore safe if you have young children. The terraces run all the way around the villa, so plenty of room to find your own private space for a spot of sunbathing or a snooze after a lazy lunch on the terrace! The terraces and pool area are also illuminated at night - see the moonlight twinkling on the sea below, listen to the chirping of the crickets, the sound of the ocean and take in the warm Mediterranean sea air scented with pines and hibiscus - all a treat for all the senses and goes to making dining alfresco and a holiday in Mojacar a very memorable occasion.
The villa is situated on a quiet road - far enough up the hill to escape the hustle and bustle of the bars and restaurants lining the Playa, but close enough to hear the sea and walk to all amenities, including a lovely new supermarket. For those that know Mojacar Playa, the villa is situated within easy walking distance of two of the oldest/best known bars or chiringuitos: Titos Beachbar and Lua Restaurant & Beach Club, together with several really good Spanish restaurants.
There is private off road parking for one car plus plenty of on street parking in this peaceful residential cul-de-sac.
Included in the price is bed linen, bath towels and, for booking of 7 nights or more, beach towels.
This property is managed by the lovely Chris and Dee - always on hand if you need help or advice. Do be aware that there is a fairly short but steep walk from the beach to the villa but you wouldn’t have those amazing views without it. For our mini guests, a travel cot and high chair are available on request. We also welcome well behaved dogs.
Almeria is Spain's best kept secret. Mocajar is a charming 13th century town nestled in the Cabrera mountains with the more recently developed 'playa' area or beach at the bottom. Our villa is in the playa area just three minutes walk from the beach. Along the playa there is a fantastic selection of shops, bars, and restaurants. There are numerous bustling and lively beach bars (chiringuitos) and fresh fish, local markets and tapas bars. There are many things to do locally including horseback riding, golf, scuba diving, fishing, visits to the national park Cabo de Gato, and visits to the cities of Almeria, Granada and Cartegena which boast many roman ruins. There is also fishing, flamenco, live music and local bodegas plus the opportunity to partake in many different water sports. For families, there is a nearby water park and a visit to Oasys Mini Hollywood (where the old spaghetti westerns were filmed) is a must! In July and August Mocajar is very lively with many Spanish holiday makers.
We prefer 7 or 14 night bookings from May through October, ideally Saturday to Saturday, but are happy to take reservations of 3 nights or more from November to April, but excluding holiday periods. Dogs will be charged at a rate of £25 per stay.
Mojácar, where the sun shines 320 days of the year, has much to offer with 14 kilometres of sandy, uncluttered beaches, and a backdrop of spectacular mountains which are abundant in flora and fauna. It is known throughout Spain as the Corner of Enchantment for its unique character and micro-climate.
There is no high-rise building to obscure the sea or the views, nor will there be; earlier edicts have ensured that this lovely area will remain as natural as possible. It is for this reason that Mojácar is known as the 'Corner of Enchantment'. Located on the south-east coast of Andalusia, and surrounded by designated areas of natural beauty, Mojácar and all its surrounding towns and villages have their individual street markets where everyone can enjoy local cuisine, tradition, colour - and the REAL Spain!
Situated only an hours drive from Almeria international airport, 1.5 hours to Murcia airport and around 2 hours to Alicante. Mojácar has excellent motorway access but for those not wanting to hire a car, Exclusive Airport Shuttles offer a fabulous airport transfer service. There is a regular bus service with a stop at the end of the road which runs regularly up and down the playa and up to the old town. A car is handy if you want to explore but not necessary if you just want stay reasonably local!
