Beautiful view, well maintained property, and staff was friendly/welcoming. Had just the right balance of quality and local vibe (not touristy). Not the biggest room, but they maximized the space perfectly, so that you didn't feel claustrophobic and didn't have a lot of unnecessary open space in the room serving no purpose. The verandah in the front of the room overlooking the sea was awe inspiring (if that daybed was bigger; I would have slept out there). Also props to the carpenter; as the woodwork throughout was on point. Great stay. Thank you for your hospitality.

Lovely property. Clean and well maintained. Lots of quiet garden areas. Perfect for a wedding. In fact there was a wedding happening during our stay. Rooms were clean, we had some issues with the drain in the bathtub but the staff was responsive to try and fix the issue. The restaurant on site was excellent. Breakfast was included in stay and it was very good. The hotel is located right on Main Street so close to other restaurants and attractions such as Dunn’s River and mystic mountain was just a short 10 minute drive. There is access to the beach on the property. However Mahogany Beach is close by and it’s a short walk (less than 10 minutes). Overall I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a smaller hotel option..

Nice casual place with friendly staff. Food was really good. Bar across the street was really loud on Friday & Saturday nights which made it a bit hard to sleep. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

On site security. All of the staff were friendly and courteous. The rooms were clean but they do not provide wash clothes, only towels. Breakfast complementary and delicious. The property only has one pool that is not that big but it is deep. Hotel is walking distance to the town, the clock, and Mahogany Beach. Dunn’s River Falls and Dolphin encounter are also less than 5 minutes away.

Hibiscus Lodge is magical! I've been twice and plan to return as many times as i can. It's definitely not a 5 star hotel, but i love it. The gardens and the landing where you can walk out into the sea are my two favorite spots. The restaurant serves excellent food, and breakfast is included. The area around the hotel is a little seedy by American standards, but i felt safe there, even traveling by myself. The bartenders, Dion, Danvil, and Jatavia, were wonderful and took very good care of me. And Telma, my housekeeper, always had a smile on her face and left my room spotless. The hotel is on a cliff overlooking the sea with incredible views, and there are uneven stone steps everywhere, which to me add to the charm of the place, but may not be good if you have mobility issues. Still, Hibiscus Lodge is a gem!
