Book Monterey hotels

Pool still under maintenance. Ants coming out of shower drain. Cleaning rooms: vacuuming rooms at 1:30 am. Fan on AC/Heater very loud. If we could have had the fan on we might not have heard the vacuuming going on. Breakfast: really good😊biscuits were soft and yummy. Gravy was great. Everything was warm that needed to be. If not hot enough there is a microwave available. Waffles and all the other normal breakfast items you would find at a hotel breakfast. Evening and night crew were great! The morning were nice but seemed extremely busy. Almost too busy. Would have been nice to have an extra hand. What I did fine nice is that none of the employees were ever short or rude with anyone. Not another employee or customer.

Staff is very welcoming and helpful with any needs and questions. I really enjoyed my stay here. I would book agian and i would recommend to my family and friends.

Horribles

When we arrived at the facility we noticed trash in parking lot and near building under windows. The parking lot lights barely work and makes it hard to see late at night. We had a 2 night reservation got into our room and immediately found a red sticky stain on the comforter clear as day with the bed neatly made. There is no way their housekeeper couldn't see it, probably didn't care. We went immediately downstairs and the front desk clerk switched our room downstairs. We went in and immediately clear as day all towels were used. The bath had used soap and some hair stuck to walls, the sink had hair from someone shaving still left in sink. So my husbund went to the other room to get the clean towels from 1st room and took the dirty towels to the 2nd room. The tv didn't work. The lock on the room was broken off and missing. Missing a light bulb from one lamp in room. The breakfast was terrible. We tried the waffles and the batter must have gone sour. We had cereal instead. The second day we chose to get our breakfast from Walmart. I was completely surprised for a Super 8 to be left with such filth. We should of asked for complete refund but we didn't have another place to go with short notice. Maintenance and housekeeping need to be trained or fired. We stay with Super 8 all the time for the last 22 years when we travel because they have high standards but not in Rochester, Indiana. Avoid staying here.
