Property is under construction but it wasn't noisy or disruptive to my stay. Mobile check-in was convenient and efficient. Room was tidy and recently remodeled - you can tell they're putting effort into updates. Clean, comfortable, and good value despite the work-in-progress exterior.
The power was out when we arrived. The staff was very nice in explaining when she greeted us. Updated us an told us that power company would be working on it but its possible it could be out until midnight. Very polite about it. Gave us the option we could wait it out and she wouls try to get the room for free for us. Or if we choose to go to another hotel they will refund us the money for the room. The area looks abandoned and the room we had rented was renovated nicely except the bathroom shower. Barley room for someone to stand in.
1. horrible area 2. Outdoor table and chairs in room 3. Slop sink in room 4. Nasty hair in bathroom and shower 5. One light for entire room by the door 6. No table lamp. 7. Noone to get the wifi password from. 8. If someone didnt stop there id still be waititng for my room 9. Noone around at ALL 10. Beds uncomfortable 11. Was only 1 on property! 12. DO NOT STAY THERE!!!!!! 13. Theres more but you get it!! Oh should be no more than $50 a night! I feel like i was ripped off!!! They lie , nothing is under construction, its all nasty!!!
We were attending a concert at Bethel Woods that night. We would have liked to a stay at a chain branded hotel. However, choices were very limited. So , I reviewed the previous comments about this hotel. Based on the reviews we stayed here. The abandoned hotel in front of this hotel was a little disturbing. However, this was noted in the previous reviews. Also the County jail being across the street was noted in previous reviews. The outside of this hotel was not great either. However, it was clean and with out debris in the front. They were renovating the lobby. So, we checked in online. After we checked in a hotel employee did call to make sure everything was okay. In conclusion, the hotel did serve our overnight needs. Also, some of the other guest were going to the concert as well. If you are in a pinch, this hotel was clean and will serve you short-stay needs.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
I didn’t stay here… the building was boarded up and the office was closed . I called a number to cancel when I saw the remains of the place and was told administer was not available to cancel. I can’t believe Expedia allowed this scam to happen!!
We didn’t end up actually staying here..we pulled into alley (doors face alley) and it looked really run down, and a bit unsafe. No lobby to check in..attached to a motel with boarded up windows etc. we scrambled to find another place and ended up driving back to pa after the concert.
room was clean & comfortable. room was ice box wen we got here, but heater warmed it up. nice table & chairs & nice big refrigerator & hanging up things rack. toilet paper holder fell off wall first time in use. latch doesnt work on inner door. faucet on bathroom sink was loose but we hand tightened it. no signage on front of building indicating Upstate Inn as there was a decrepit building first on Jones street & we had to ask an attendant for directions. it would be nice to have a coffee maker & coffee & creamer in room instead of a utility sink. but overall the room was adequate for 2 weary travelers. the 2 beds were comfy.
Very kind and helpful lady running it, but the pictures online are quite misleading as the parking lot is directly adjacent to an abandoned prison, complete with razor wire and warning signs about keeping distance from the prisoners.
Also the doors are an obnoxious numbered code pad followed by an even less convenient lock box in the vestibule.
Surprisingly clean with new renovations (stickers still on the new vanity and other cabinets)
