I travel a lot and this was the worst hotel service I've ever experienced. My room was freezing (it was below freezing outside) when I got in and I realized the heater was broken. They told me they'd fix it and had me waiting until 3AM. They never fixed it, stopped responded to phone calls, and didn't have anyone at the front desk to help for the rest of the night. I tried to sleep in a freezing cold room. The next morning they were disrespectful, passive aggressive, and never apologized. They made it very clear they were not there to help.

The staff was excellent, but the two rooms offered were situated on the lower level and were claustrophobic, cramped, and uncomfortable. Consequently, we were unable stay.

It was a beautiful hotel. The city view on the 4th floor was like a movie. There are only stairs, so if you have a suitcase, bring a bag and pack your outfit rather than carrying your suitcase up four flights of stairs! Thank goodness my husband caught that, or I wouldn’t have been able to carry it all the way up there with how heavy it was.

Hotel is very convenient to downtown and transit. We chose here because its a 15 min walk to the Bell Centre. Hotel has old charm, right down to the creaking floors. Bed very comfortable, room was clean. Breakfast was ok. It would be nicer if the fruit option was fresh fruit and not tinned fruit cocktail. Yoghurt was a bowl that you served yourself from. Individual cartons would have been nicer. Only protein choice was sliced ham. Coffee was good. Parking was good, valet at the front door for $40 a night. Staff were friendly. Would stay here again.

Lovely alternative to big box hotels, located in a converted historic manor in excellent central downtown location. Very comfortable, spacious rooms, well appointed. Need to climb stairs as no elevators but staff offered to help. Very pleasant staff. Included breakfast is not elaborate but certainly adequate. Hotel is very clean throughout.

Nice hotel centrally located. It did has signs of being older but all the essentials were updated and it had a lot of charm. Clean and staff were great even helped me reserve a taxi for my trip back to the airport.

This is a lovely old heritage property. Comfortable bed and bedding, Nespresso machine and complimentary use of umbrellas were all appreciated. Front desk staff were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was lovely with fresh croissants, bagels, cheeses, sliced ham, plain yogurt, and more. Lots of things can be reached by walking if you like walking: train station, Mount Royal lookout, Cafe Lali (excellent pumpkin spice lattes and espresso!) l’Express restaurant (amazing food and presentation), McGill University, nearby pubs and grocery stores. If you’re bothered by stains on room carpets and bits of trim in need of paint you might not be comfortable here but I loved the ambience of the place and would definitely stay again.
