Minor inconveniences

Just a couple of minor complaints: Valet service really meant that we drove to the parking garage and walked the couple of blocks back to the hotel. There was often the smell of cigarettes and pot in the common areas and seeping into our room. The elevator was often so slow that we walked up and down to the 5th floor.

The pictures of the rooms are from a long time ago. Wallpaper peeling, filthy furniture and rugs, broken outlets. I knew I wasn’t staying at the Four Seasons, but I felt really deceived by the pictures. It’s very run down now. I’m certain I could get better for the same price.

The staff were very accommodating. They gave me an early check in and late checkout. The breakfast is complimentary but very good. It’s a great hotel to stay at if you’re in the downtown Montreal area!

Where to start! The place is falling apart, the smell of weed and everything else was horrible. The elevator is extremely slow. Breakfast was horrible. Hot water is so unpredictable! One min it’s cold, the next min it actually burns. The room was filthy!! Stains all over the ceiling, walls, carpet, towels, bed sheets. Rusty tubs and toilets. The toilet kept clogging up and when we asked for a plunger, that’s all you did was give it to us, instead of sending someone to fix the problem. Only thing I can’t complain about is the beds, they were pretty comfortable. Will never stay there again and certainly will be talking people out of staying there. Very disappointed!

Great location, great pricing, very nice rooms, and the breakfast was totally sufficient. It would be nice if the breakfast lasted until 10, but I'm just not a morning person. The parking was a bit odd as the lot is underground, under the holiday inn down the road, but it was convenient and there are a few options in the area if valet parking isn't your thing. Would certainly stay here again.

The cost of this hotel is not worth the price. The Holiday Inn just down the street is nearly the same price and worth every dime. The "free breakfast" may be one of the worst breakfasts I've ever see . You get powdered eggs, sausage, toast and maybe oatmeal. No bananas. The cut of time is firm and no re fills happen 45-30 minutes prior. Parking is a zoo. They claim parking is on site but it is not. The valet will drive you to where they park. Guess what, it's in the holiday Inn down the street and you get charged more. Valet doesn't get the vehicle for you, you have to go get it. The other option is they tell you up the road at another parking lot. Parking isn't part of the hotel and you have to pay cash. As a group, three of us were charged different cash rates for parking in the same spot. Seriously, unless you want to just party hard on Crescent and need a spot to KO, do youreself a favour and stay else where.
