This is a stunning location. However the particular unit we had was in need of some general maintenance. We specifically paid more for a unit with a deck but then couldn't use it because the outdoor furniture was in such bad condition you couldn't sit on it. We got provided 2 teabags and hardly any sugar which is not good in a serviced unit. If you want hotel type service with bed making and replenished supplies, don't stay here. Ive stayed here a lot but always had other units. This one was disappointing.

Lovely hotel by a lake

A wonderful hotel room. Very spacious with good facilities and on the ground floor (there’s no lift). The onsite restaurant is good, which is essential as the hotel is 7km from the nearest town (Cromwell). The lake makes a nice backdrop and a good place to walk.

The location is fantastic. Good relaxing place with anazing lake views. A bit far from shops or supermarkets. It's a 5 min drive to Cromwell.

Nice setting. Clean room. Booked a 1 bedroom villa so we had our own outdoor deck in the sunshine. Disappointing that the only furniture on the huge deck was a dining table. There were no outside sofas or sun loungers as shown on the photos on Expedia. Would not have booked the more expensive room if we had known this beforehand.

It was the perfect place for that one night we spent in the area. Clean, modern/new, with a small balcony where you can sit and enjoy the view. Our unit was one room with one queen and two single beds. The restaurant at the property was very good as well. It can get quite busy so need to make reservations.

Paid through the roof for this accommodation only to have a party downstairs and no answer from reception at 10pm so had to ask the occupants to turn the music down ourselves. Given we were there for business there was little consideration from the staff for guests varied reasons and right to peace.

Definitely not 5 star.

Would not call it 5 star. Properties are dated, lounge chairs have seen better days. We were in a 1 bedroom suite downstairs and you could hear every footstep from upstairs tenants which you don’t want at 6am in the morning when you are on holiday. We had a dishwasher issue and the manager was very quick to respond. Suite was lovely and spacious and clean, bed was super comfortable.Personally I would not stay there again, nightly rate way too expensive for what it is.
