What the Hilton Munich City lacks in charm due to its size, it makes up for in convenience and comfort. One can get on public transport, including the train to the airport, without even leaving the building. The Old City center is one stop away, or perhaps a 15-minute walk. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The €30 price for breakfast (if not added at the time of booking) is absurd but a racket practiced by many hotels. This was our second stay and we expect it will be our go-to hotel when visiting Munich.

Our room was very hot when we got there so we turned off the heat and tried to open the widow. Turns out the window was broken so it got stuck in a weird slanted position while we were level with the courtyard. Called the front desk to help get it fixed, they were unable to fix it and did not offer us a new room. Overnight the room remained unbearably hot, probably around 72 degrees or so even though we had turned the heat off on the thermostat. Breakfast was expensive and not good, bread was stale, food was cold and coffee was from a cheep machine. Everything in the hotel was being sold at a MUCH higher price than any other store in Munich.

Great stay at the Hilton Munich City, location was perfect, right above the S-Bhan, making getting everywhere very easy. Property was well appointed and all the staff we met were fantastic. Would happily return.

They wanted to charge me €3.50 for a small bottle of water. The Sheraton and Avani gave me free water and replenish every day. I ended up going to Aldi and paying €0.29 for a large bottle. Also, they did not change the towels after I showered twice and left them wet. They left them hanging on the door. I expected more from a nice facility, but it was not what I expected.

Bit disappointed when I paid my bill was told at check in breakfast was £25 got charged £36 so £250 for 8 breakfast is extortionate and put a damper on the visit .Hotel is typical Hilton great location for the trains but wouldn't stay again because of the pricing issue .I also have four payments on my credit card bill that I don't recognise for purchases at the hotel ,they are pending so I will see if they get approved if so I will lodge an investigation.

Within minute walking distance of the historic area. There are several nice dining options close to the hotel. Subway station right outside hotel. Best way to get to hotel from airport is via subway. You'll save $100+.
