Let me say first that I’ve never left a review for a hotel stay but feel that this one needs it. When we arrived at check in, we were told the elevator wasn’t working which for us wasn’t a deal breaker. When we get to our room we realize there are no towels or washcloths and no toilet paper. There was also no wi-fi and the TV wouldn’t work. There wasn’t a number for the front desk anywhere in our room so I had to get in the car and drive a few buildings down to the office. Later in the evening we went to place items in the refrigerator and there’s stuff in there from the previous people who stayed. When we went to get in bed, the bed had sand in it but luckily the other bed didn’t. The next morning we went out for the day but when we got back that evening we noticed a large puddle in the floor where water was leaking from the ceiling which happened to get on my wifes suitcase, clothing, and other belongings. I’ll add that whatever it was that was leaking ruined her suitcase and a brand new pair of shoes. Some other things to note. There was trash on the balcony, also the ice cream truck that would park and play music beside our hotel for long periods of time got pretty annoying. You’ve heard the song. Imagine hearing it for an hour or longer. We understand that it’s a budget hotel but still should be clean and functional. At checkout, I notified the front desk about some of these issues but was told that I would need to notify third party booking.

Room and check in

No place to park due to on going renovations and they block off the main area to park after dark. Best bet park your car and Uber so you have a place when you get back. Pool was not impressive nor was the ocean access, no where to wash up after leaving the beach. No tv in the room, but I had a channel guide for the tv I was missing 😂. Oh and just no the front desk never answered the phone or any messages off hotels.com. Asked for a week prior what to do at check-in since it said place does not have a front desk. Still went and rolled the dice but was worried about it up to the last second. I know you get what you pay for and I only did it because it was just me. Would not take the family.

Could not get into room door lock was busted was not the room i reserved was not beach front like advertised there was no tv or fridge for my daughter's insulin was verry hard to get my elderly father to the room when asked for another room or to fix the one we were in all they would say was we dont have any more rooms and brushed me off i want my money back was the worst hotel ive ever seen i feel scammed or down right robbed

We didn’t like anything about the property. The 1st room they assigned the tv didn’t work, the second room had no tvs at all, and the third room the sliding door didn’t open. Worst stay ever. Heavy police presence due to other upset customers because the pictures displayed are fake these rooms looking nothing like the pictures. Parking terrible.

The rooms are false advertising and nothing like the pictures. No signs for the office. The bathroom had mold all down the wall behind the toilet and the toilet leaked. No towels/ washcloths provided and only half a roll of toilet paper was in the bathroom. The room didn’t have a tv at all. The kids pool area wasn’t open and was disgusting. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. The only good thing about it was the air conditioning was cold and it was close to the beach.

The property is changing their name from sea mist but didn’t inform of this change. I was lost for a half hour because of this issue. There is limited parking due to how large the property is on site so I had to park across the street & down behind their other buildings & walk. The room had no remote or fridge. We went 3x to get one & was told it would come & never did. There was sand in both beds & we asked for them to changed - they said they would & did not. It was extremely filthy & gross - the walls, floors, & outside the property. All amenities & pools were not working & green & dirty. Their driftwood property had the fire department called back to back at least 3x - unsure if it was due to a fire or maybe an electrical issue with the alarm. This was by far a ‘catfish’ & I am so unsatisfied, especially after driving 11+ hours. Worst stay I’ve ever had.

SCAM!!!! I have filed for return, police report filed, news station reported, investigation happening. Contact a lawyer for fraud and crime investigation. This MUST stop and hotels.com doesn’t even care. Hotels.com can’t get ahold of OYO Hotels (capital O waves-fake hotel) and haven’t returned my money. Of course how can you get ahold of scammers!!!! My lawyer has contacted hotels.com and police fraud. Local news station Myrtle Beach has FULL report and will air LIVE. Stop scamming innocent family people.

The room had no soap or coffee. No remote for the tv. Beds were overused and slouchy. The room didnt get cool and smelled musty. Air vents on air conditioner were moldy. One air conditioner control panel was broken. Pillows were lumpy. We will not be back to this property.

I wish the pictures actually looked like the property or else I wouldn’t have booked. I payed extra for a balcony room just for them to say we can’t open our balcony sliding doors. When I arrived there were no towels in our room, no tv and bad lighting unless I opened the shade which I was trying not to since we weren’t aloud to use or balcony door anyways. The good part is the front desk lady’s were nice that’s about it.

Yuck!

The hotel was dirty inside and out the elevators didn’t work. The Wi-Fi didn’t work so the television didn’t work as well. The people at the front desk we’re not accommodating. The hotel did not look like the pictures on the site.
