Cozy beach bungalow located inside the award-winning Ocean Lakes Family Campground. Spend you days at the one-mile-long ocean front beach, swimming at the pool with water slides, lazy river and area for younger children. Next to the pool area is an arcade, indoor pool, and family recreation area. Take a walk, ride bikes, or ride a golf cart to the three lakes for fishing, putt-putt golf, or outdoor dining at the Sandy’s eat and greet.

This cozy bungalow offers two bedrooms, a bathroom, living room, kitchen and eating area. Also included is a washer and dryer located inside of the outdoor shed.

House includes Kitchen items for cooking such as, pots and pans, plate sets, utensils, and coffee pots, Toaster, crock-pot, Keurig, iron board and iron, hangers, two smart tvs with spectrum cable.

ITEMS YOU WILL NEED TO BRING:

Sheets for 2 queen beds, and two twin beds, towels, washclothes and a bathmat, paper products.

No smoking inside of house of any kind- doing so will be an automatic hold of security deposit!!!

My pregnant wife opted to sleep in my truck instead.

I'll start with the positives. Ocean Lakes is great. Plenty of activities for the kids, beautiful beach, there's something for everyone. Our vacation became very relaxing as soon as we ended this rental 3 nights early and moved to a different home within Ocean Lakes. When they say this home is "cozy", they mean really small with abnormally low ceilings. I'm 6'3" and couldn't stand up straight without my head touching the ceiling in the kitchen, "2nd bedroom" or the bathroom. If I walked straight through the kitchen without dodging the ceiling mounted light, I would hit my forehead on it, which someone may have already done seeing as it was hanging loosely off the ceiling by one screw. I hit my head twice on the top of the door jamb walking into the bathroom. The bathroom door, as previously mentioned in past reviews, was nearly off the hinges, dragging on the floor and impossible to close. I'm in construction so I took it upon myself to fix this. It took me all of 10 minutes to fix, I'm not sure why there are reviews dating back several months mentioning the same problem, it's almost as if the host doesn't care. The house wasn’t clean upon check in, which we communicated to the host who said she would talk to the cleaners. Even after fixing the bathroom door for her at no charge, host ignored our request for a cleaning fee refund. Find another property in Ocean Lakes, there are plenty of other options available.

Perfect for a quick get away!

Adorable cottage in a quiet area during our stay! It was our first time at ocean lakes and the owner called me to tell me how everything works before our trip! I really appreciated that! Beds were comfy, everything was perfect!

Great location but wasn’t a 2 bedroom

Communication with the owner was great and the location was great. However it was only one bedroom, the bunk beds were in the hall and were tiny. My teenage daughter and son couldn’t fit in them. My 2 teenage sons couldn’t stand up tall in the kitchen without hitting there head on the ceiling (1 is 18 and the other is 16). I had to have one of my sons stay with my friend because he just wasn’t comfortable because he couldn’t fit sleeping wise anywhere (bunk beds were too small and ceiling were too low). The house also smelled of mildew and mold. I was disappointed because the owner was so nice and welcoming.

The community was very nice. All the neighbors that were staying in the vicinity were very friendly and welcoming. House was very clean and very quiet. Never had such a relaxing time.

We absolutely loved this little house! It was perfect for my little family! We would love to stay again! It was clean, updated, nice location, easy in and out, had a blast! The home has kitchen equipment for all your kitchen needs. A beautiful updated shower! Not one complaint!

Cozy beach cottage

The only negative I will say is just because other people will think the same thing when they stay and give the owner honest feedback so they won’t have future complaints. The house had a wet/mildew/mold smell ,almost like a basement would smell. The bathroom door needs to be repaired desperately as it is nearly impossible to fully shut, very loud when doing so, and even harder to get out, once you have managed to shut the door all the way.. the handle on the stove is pretty badly broken but other than that it’s a great place to stay and pet friendly although I didn’t bring any of mine it’s a very handy option to have. Also, LOVE that there’s a grill! I would still recommend it to a friend as a nice little affordable place to stay but would say these very things just so they have a heads up. Will be coming back to ocean lakes for many years to come. : )

Convenient location

We opted not to get a golf cart so that we would have the money to do other things. This location was super convenient to walk to the beach. No golf cart needed. I would stay again.

We booked this stay with our 3 kids (ages 6-13) and it was just ok. The positives were the Ocean Lakes amenities (water park, pool, playground…) and the washer/dryer onsite. The negatives were the cleanliness and size of the property. It was dusty, dirty, and in need of many repairs. It’s listed for 6 people and worked for our 5 but if you were trying to fit more than 2 adults it would be a stretch. The top bunk bed would only work for a small child and anyone over 6 foot is going to be bumping their head on the ceiling in the kitchen and bathroom.

Needs a little maintenance/updating

The park is wonderful with many amenities from indoor/outdoor pools. Huge beach grocery store. Arcade. Playground etc etc. i feel your description of sleeps 6 is inaccurate 4 plus couch!! Loved having the stackable washer/dryer on site You had an ample amount of utensils pots/pans etc. need quite a bit of work done on property outside looks a bit unkept to neighbors

The house is definitely smaller than it appears, however, it was fine for just me and my husband. We couldn't get the TV remotes to work, but again, not a huge deal. Not a bad experience, but don't plan to rebook as we've stayed in much nicer places that include a golf cart and is around the same price range.

Good location

Great location with plenty of chairs and extras to use. It was small, but as advertised. The only negative was it was dirty and very humid. Damprid bags hanging everywhere, dehumidifier and musty smell. I don’t think the cleaners spend much time there unfortunately, especially for the charged cleaning fee.

A/c problems - Musty odor

The day we arrived, the a/c decided to take a dive. I was able to communicate directly with the Owner Debbie about the issue, as it was 80 degrees in the house and it would not cool. She was able to schedule an hvac tech out the very next morning to fix the a/c by adding Freon to the system and I now see that a credit has been applied to my account for a refund for the day of rental, which I believe was very generous. Overall, the property was exactly as described but was just too small for our liking and for our size family of four, even though our budget did not allow us to stay in the bigger houses. I think a couple or maybe a three member household would do very well here. We loved Ocean Lakes but it was very, very busy during peak season in July and a golf cart rental was not available for several days due to lack of inventory, which was disappointing. We are planning a return trip already for October for Halloween. Thanks Debbie.

Cute and cozy

Our family of five was a tight fit but we had a great vacation. The owner Debbie was wonderful. We had one issue and she solved it right away. This place is perfect for a romantic couple getaway. I would definitely rent it again. Plus she has another house practically next door for a bigger group.

Black feet

When arrived, took my shoes off in the hse and after a while, husband said “your feet are black on the bottom”. Went to sit in a chair & legs were broken. Later in the week,went to wash clothes & washer wouldn’t cut on. Addressed the chair & washer, response “put the chair in the shed & I’ve been having trouble with the washer lid & it takes a while to fill with water, FaceTime me later after u finish shopping”. Instead, I paid to wash clothes. Also, a hole in the kitchen ceiling was not attractive. We have been coming to ocean lakes now for 3 yrs. Unfortunately, as adults over 60, we want a stress free & clean cottage and this was not it.
