We were 30 mins away from official check in time and they told us room was not available. No communication with cleaning staff. 3 other families got their rooms without hassle. We walked around for two hours in town to come back to the same msg. Eventually they got us a room. Rooms facing casino were noisy lots of traffic like bikers. Area is not safe lots of homeless.

Room was not ready on time, apparently there was a staffing issue with housekeeping. Awoken in middle of night by yelling outside. Not uncommon in downtown Nanaimo but perhaps better window soundproofing would have helped. Otherwise a nice hotel up to the usual Marriott standards.

awesome location

The stay was amazing , slept great . I did not like the powder for creamer ,they did bring some creamer when asked . Due to their eco standards ,the condiments were not replenished or garbage emptied daily . We did have to ask for those needs to be met . Normally the garbage would not be a issue. We did have a toddler with us . Diapers and wipes .The staff was great, the pool was fun. Hot tub is lacking jet power . All in all ,excellent ++stay .

There was mould on the ceiling of the shower Grout missing in the shower The toilet was about 15 years old so took about 20 litres per flush but sign in bathroom says they care about environment Staff wasn’t overly friendly Overpriced for what you got should have been $150/nt but that’s the market Breakfast was average at best

Our keycard didn't work, and our room remained locked the whole night and was only opened at 6am. We have a ferry to catch and we were scheduled to depart Nanaimo early morning to be able to catch the Ferry in Victoria. We were not able to prepare well and just in a hurry in order not to miss the Ferry.
