Beautiful Apartment in the heart of Napier with free parking

The space:
The spacious 85sqm apartment is located within the Colenso Chambers building which was rebuilt after the 1931 earthquake in the style of Spanish Mission (originally as the County Hotel). Being right in the heart of Napier you have easy walking access to restaurants, cafes, shops, supermarkets, historic buildings, beach, museum and the Municipal Theatre. The apartment is located on the first floor with access via the wide stairs of two flights. The apartment has two bedrooms - one queen and one double with quality bedding. The lounge, dining room and kitchen offer an open beautiful space to spread out and enjoy. There are two outdoor spaces - the apartment balcony where you can sit and relax while enjoying city life roll by. Or the second space is an outdoor communal garden area where you can sit, perhaps enjoy outdoor dining, while forgetting the outside world within a tranquil private garden setting.

Guest access:
Guests will self check in and out using a lock box to access the keys. The apartment is on the first floor of a residential building. Entry is through the main lobby doors at street level. Once through these doors you enter the shared lobby space and take the stairs up to the first floor to Apartment 1. Access to the outdoor private garden area is via the lobby on the ground floor which also takes you to a gated rear entrance to the apartment block .

Interaction with guests:
Our apartment is for you to enjoy in your own privacy. We do not live within the building but are only a phone call away should you need any help, advice or recommendations.

Parking: We provide a free car park which we lease in a car park building only a 3 minute drive or walk from the apartment. Outside the apartment is a 10 minute loading zone which lets you unload or repack your vehicle.

Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned apartment, featuring a kitchen with a refrigerator and an oven. There's a private balcony or patio. Step back in time....

Taking your first step into the apartment is like stepping back to the 1930's! It has a open plan living area that lead to a balcony overlooking the street below. It is open and airey with lots of windows to let the sun shine in, lounge and dining area is well appinted with two couches and a large round table ti sit around. Bedrooms are spacious with plenty of storage in the built in robes. The kitchen is well stocked with crockery and kitchen cooking essentials. The most appealing aspect of the apartment to us was how it has been decorated by the Hosts with beautiful furniture and decorator pieces around the home. The amazing location was a bonus.

Second stay here

This was my second stay in Carla’s beautiful apartment. It is in a great location to be able to walk to shops, restaurants and the beach. Carla is very helpful and quick to respond. I would come back a third time should I ever be in Napier again.

Be part of the Art Deco experience

We arrived in Napier and began with an ArtDeco tour, so cool to have the property you’ll check into afterwards be pointed out by the tour guide. Great property to stay in. Street cleaners are up early but it’s a special place and should be looked after.

This place is centrally located in the shopping centre so extremely handy to all restaurants, shops and activities. Brilliant property. Only downfall was early morning (after 5am) when street cleaners came through to empty bins on street it was a bit noisy.

The accommodation is very nice, spacious, in style of the art deco area it is located in. To stay in a place like this is great. Unfortunately, the car space provided is in a car park building that isn't secure. Our car got vandalised overnight with damage to roof and bonnet from person/s unknown climbing and/or jumping on it. Bad luck i know, but personally my wife and i wouldn't stay here again because there is that risk and the owners don't have insurance cover outside apartment for guests.

We just loved this apartment. Elegant, stylish and beds were so comfortable. We were surprised at just how quiet it was at night, so we slept well. And so close to all of the shops and places to eat. Perfect week away for us girls.

Everything you need

The apartment is great; it is warm, the outlook onto the mall and the veranda is pleasant , the carpark is convenient, lots of good restaurants within walking distance. A nice place to come home to after a day of wine tasting.
