Romantic Waterfront Home "Sea Thistle" walk to Block Island ferry

Sea Thistle is a newly completely renovated classic waterfront home on a huge half acre lot. We offer breathtaking full panoramic views directly on Point Judith Salt Pond and a brand new dock to accommodate small watercraft! This area is a fisherman’s paradise! Please inquire regarding prior approval. This property features a large yard rarely seen on the waterfront and an enormous 20x40 deck for sunbathing, reading, socializing, sitting by the extra large propane fire table, watching the sun rise or set, or enjoying a family dinner. Sea Thistle features a first floor private bedroom with a queen bed, a master bedroom upstairs, and a third upstairs bedroom with bunk beds and a separate twin bed. All appliances are brand new and the a/c is icy cold! This home is beautifully decorated with original wide plank floors and captures the combination of vintage and new, just right. Step into the back yard to swim, clam, paddle board or kayak. Take a short walk or bike ride to purchase seafood directly off the local fishing boats, Salty Brine Beach, fresh fish market, shops, and Block Island Ferry. Less than 5 minutes from the Port of Galilee, Salty Brine State Beach, Roger Wheeler Beach, fishing charter boats and local restaurants. We are situated close to Newport with an under 30 minute drive. This home provides central a/c, private enclosed hot outdoor shower, washer/dryer, Weber grill, and use of kayaks, life jackets, boogie boards and skim boards. We have superior high speed internet and cellular service. We have recently added an outdoor, waterfront, year round hot tub. Sea Thistle also offers a romantic getaway during the off season, with cozy surroundings including a remote propane fireplace. We provide a perfect place to stay while visiting your student at URI with a 15 minute ride to campus. Not all amenities available year round. Please inquire.

A terrific property!

We loved this perfectly renovated cottage with its gorgeous kitchen, lovely furnishings and tasteful decor. The views, deck and landscaped yard are spectacular. Having immediate access to the pond via the dock and stone stairs to a beach area made launching and returning kayaks easy. The hot tub was terrific, too.

Last minute get-away

From the moment we pulled up to the property we knew we had found a gem! The views are amazing! Although the cottage is small, it did not bother us as we spent the entire time outside! The home is completely redone and immaculate! The kitchen has everything you would need (although I did not cook… mom’s need vacations too!) There are some great restaurants within a 3 minute drive or short walk to order take out and eat on the deck! Our favorite spots were the expansive deck with the fire pit and the swing overlooking the water! Our teenage boys had a great time kayaking, swimming and fishing! The neighborhood is quiet! The yard was nice to play some bocce overlooking the amazing view! It was the perfect place to hang out with our teenagers! We will definitely be back! A fantastic home

I recently stayed at this Great Island Property. Tara and Paul couldn't have been better hosts to prepare us for our two night stay. The home was exactly as it shows and is even better in person. Waking in the morning, coffee on the deck ( yes, in April, we caught three 75+ degree days)to drinks and a fire on the deck at sunset, the home was perfect. Our First Trip to Rhode Island

This is a wonderful home with lovely updates and amenities. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated with lush, comfy beds. The kitchen and deck areas have incredible panoramic views of the bay and the sunsets are amazing. The Hot Tub is brand new and impeccably clean… a great way to relax in the afternoon and evenings. Loved the enclosed outdoor shower! Walk into town in the morning to BRU for your morning coffee and enjoy a lovely walk around town and on the beach. It’s a good workout to start your day! I would love to wake up here every morning! There are wonderful restaurants within walking distance at the Port and more just a short drive away. The hosts are quick to respond to questions and give excellent local recommendations! Be sure to check out Champlain’s at the Marina. It’s a beautiful spot for lunch as you watch the boats come in and out of the bay. We will be back!

Amazing Property & Views

My family and I stayed at this tastefully decorated, comfortable and cozy home and were immediately impressed with the views, cleanliness and well stocked kitchen. Wonderful views with an ample deck and incredible, comfortable seating from which to view it. The deck sofa covers actually keep the cushions dry so you can sit on the deck in the early morning regardless of the overnight dew! The swing, hot tub and private beach area for launching kayaks are all added perks! Beds were extremely comfortable with plenty of plush blankets for chilly nights. Owner is extremely responsive and helpful, answering questions quickly. Truly an incredible stay!

10 Sea Crest Drive

A really enjoyable stay in this beautiful house with a spectacular view. Our Initial feeling was that the house was much smaller than expected but we overcame this as is beautifully appointed and finished to a very high spec. Crockery could be upgraded as a lot of chips on glasses and no porcelain or china cups for tea or coffee. The one downside to our stay was the rigorous instructions for vacating the property with having to strip beds, put on washes etc. This was an expensive property to rent and one would expect that the rental of this property would not include having to wash and sort linen. This we believe should be the job for hired professionals to ensure that the required high standards are met.

Beautiful Place - Inaccurate Listing

The House was very nice, beautiful and it was very clean! As would be expected for the rate we paid, as the area and the home were higher end .. so we get it, so far so good. We got the house in a nice area .. where you’d want to vacation But with that high end vibe you have some expectations as well. Some of these things don’t sit well with me as a customer who is paying high end prices for high end accommodations. - We walked into the home and it was freezing. It is the 1st week in March in the Northeast and the thermostat was off and it was 53 degrees in the house - Next thing we noticed was a damp plant smell, there were live plants in the house which is a nice touch in the spring where you can open windows but idk the last time it was rented but it smelled like dead plants - Also; not shown in pictures, not in descriptions was the construction/landscaping going on … dug up dirt and not really a way to get to the water without going through dug up dirt. And i get that i traveled during the off season and maybe this is when you can get this done , but describe that and maybe adjust March (off season) pricing to reflect that. - The pictures showed a set up deck, chairs, rugs etc etc … there were chairs pushed to the corner of the deck and were uncovered so they were soaking wet … despite instructions for us to cover the chairs upon checkout. - The pictures and description also showed and said, there was a fire pit , which was a main draw to this place and it wasn’t on the deck, on the grass and it didn’t say where it was … or if it indeed existed. - Finally the ask of the owners for us to strip the sheets and grab the towels and do the linens and towel laundry before we go is not the norm. If we were there a week instead of a weekend. and had six guest instead of just two, we would be doing laundry all week just to keep up. with all of the setting up and finding of amenities and laundry to do, it was hard to 100% feel like a vacation , especially since we are talking about a higher end stay !
